So! I made this in a Glass class last semester...and I'm actually pretty proud of how it came out.

There's over 800 pieces of mosaic, stained glass in this, it took me two months to make. It's a little larger than an 8 x 11 sheet of paper.

Hope you enjoy~!

That is pretty fantastic.

Is it like a big window? What's on the back?

Wow very nicely done...

My hats off
Thank you very much!

D'aw, Yinkie Pen~! It looks fantastic~!! I'm sure you got an A+ in that class for sure~! Good job!
My professor gave it an A, and it was showcased. I was pretty proud. :') Thanks Day!

Thank you. It's basically glass on the back, a large sheet. I can't remember what kind sadly, but I took the glass, then used special glue to place the pieces down. For the boarder (which you cannot see) I used copper wire around it then used sauder and flux.

Is it grouted? I can't tell if it is or isn't.

It isn't. I tried grout on an earlier piece and it ruined it. I had too many small little pieces in this and most of them were close enough together, so my professor told me to just leave it as it was.

EDIT: Thanks DD :)

Oh okay, I was looking at it, and saw glimpses of red I believe (without scrolling up) poking through and tought red grout might've been used.

No it's perfectly fine. I should've put I took a picture of this on a red blanket on my bed haha. :)

the background reminds me of legend of zelda ocarina of time's ice cavern

Really? Cool thanks. Didn't see it that way.

I wonder what the fox would look like if you mixed some more Cubism in there, I think it would look so trippy.

You know, that's a really good idea. I'll try to do this for something else, then get back to you with results :)

Many thanks!

My goodness, that's gorgeous, love the green eyes.

Well done! ^^
Thank you! Those eyes were the hardest part. I know it's really hard to see from that picture but I think in the right eye there's about 20 pieces of glass. I had to use tweezers to do it.

I like this yink..pretty unique.
Thanks a lot :)

NC; get at me.
heck of a piece. i'd like to see it with a different background--you said it was on a red blanket when u took the pic, im wondering if it would look any dif. like chaco, it's hard to tell what and where that red is coming from. i understand how difficult it can be with glass.

did you have to cut the peices yourself? also was there a size restriction on each piece? that's how my teach was.

I could take it against real glass itself, and I'd be more than happy to if that's what you'd like.

Yes, I cut every single piece of glass. I also did some grinding for basic pieces, but besides that it was all cut by me. There were no glass size restrictions (unless it was something utterly ridiculous and took up half the project).
