My first tournament!

Ok so me and a few of the neighborhood kids like to play super smash brothers brawl. But I thought, why don't I get my siblings, my dad, my friends, and a lot of people to come have a tournament? It's not official yet but I made a sign up sheet, a set of rules, even rewards! The winner gets a wind up penguin toy and the runner up gets a Phineas and Ferb holographic bookmark. (It sounds lame, but seeing as the rewards are coming out of MY stuff, It's not like I'm gonna put my D.S. out there.) I still need to get it confirmed with my dad and make sure a lot of people can come in and any non competitors like him and my step mom will stay out of the way. At the end, anybody who stays for the whole thing (even if they lose) gets to have snacks and stuff with the other competitors. The rules are, you can't quit, (because my sister and her friends all quit if another one quits and they are super whiny and stuff) good sportsmanship, no character swapping, no cheating, no vulgarity or fighting, no excluding, (I did that one so my step mom doesn't get mad and say we are excluding my little brother. This way, she gives it an automatic ok.) and have fun.

Does it sound like I've got a good tournament in the works? If everybody who I invite actually comes it will be a total of 9 people. One or two of them are not very reliable, so it might be 7 or 6 people who show up. Anyway, does it sound cool? It will be in 6 days and I'm so excited!

No Character swapping?

So if you did a set. I chose Diddy Kong, I lost, I can't change my Character?

Well I don't understand the whole character set thing. My understanding was you choose 1 character to compete with for the whole tourney, and the rule is you can't reset the whole thing just to be a new person.

Some people like to use two characters instead of one. That way the opponent has to change their strategy.

But I guess your rule is fine. Just make sure that people DON'T change at all then. I want to be able to BE SURE that my opponent won't change.

Well how about this, if the person reset's to be a new character, then he loses?
