well, i used to post one of these every week intill it got closed and i was told to move it here.
so i waited a few weeks and im back. basically im just give my views on an album ive been listening to alot and each one will be a new post... so anyway.
twilight of the thundergod is Amon Amarth's 7th, and most recent, album. it consists of 10 tracks running just over 40 mins. for those of you who dont know, amon amarth is a swedish "melodic death metal" band so if you dont like death metal you probly wont like this
with guests like apocaliptica for one song, the singer of entombed for another and the guitarist from children of bodom (whom i hate) for one this album id definately awesome, you get the heavy metal feel youd expect from anything with death in the genre, but you also get a nice, almost mellow feel from some parts, hence why its melodic death....
the lyris are of war, mythology, and the norse gods.
i usually cant stand growly/grunty lyrics in my music but amon amarth is an exception...if you like metal (and you should...get this album) and better yet, go see them live, i did, and it was great.
