This tournament will be played using Mupen64K for once instead of PJ64K. Most users don't want to use Mupen64K because it is new, different, and hardly anyone is using it and people are afraid they wont find a game. This tournaments purpose is to let a variety of people experience Mupen64K and get a feel for it and how it plays.

Every match will be recorded in this tournament

This isn't going to be a tutorial on how to use mupen64k so go here to learn how to record http://smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=111703

Now what you will do is record the MKR file and you will send the MKR file to me via msn or upload it to a sharing website. I will then convert to AVI and post them on the tube :D

This is a 1 on 1 tournament with the typical rules

RULES

  • Advanced Slob Picks.
  • Best of 3, 5 stock.
  • Finals: Best of 5
  • Legal Stages: Hyrule, Dreamland, Congo Jungle, Peaches Castle.
  • First Match Stage: Hyrule.
  • If you lag bad, please fix it or dont sign up.
  • I dont care how you kill your opponents as long as you dont cheat.
  • Incase of DS the match will be restarted with the same stock amount of each player had when the DS took place. If you had over 100% then you will go down a stock. Same for opponent.

How much of a problem is using two different emulators to play? I know it gives the desynchronize warning, but how often does it happen. Not that it applies to this tourney, but just curious.

Sign me up. Lightningmage

Also, stupid question, what is elevation?

I'll try my best to enter, but no guarantees. Put me down on the list as of now, I'll let you know differently if anything comes up. As some1 else also asked, what server? You should probably put that up in the 1st post...

Meh, I've tried it b4 and I didn't like it. Plus I don't feel like downloading it again.

Count me out.

It is a big problem using two different emulators. And you can't.

Elevation is a status of EGX that removes your spam limit and allows you to join playing games, cant be kicked, silenced, ignored, and you can announce.

Count me out.
Sounds like you are lazy sir.

I'll sign up. Do we just meet in EGX at the designated time to figure out who we're playing?

Hes not asking your opinion. Hes just asking why should we use Mupen if there isn't anything wrong with PJ64. Also barely anybody has it so they have to go through the trouble of installing it. It even takes up a whole GigaByte of Data on your comp. I mean I would join this but I don't think its worth it doing all the downloading and all this manual stuff when I can automatcially play right now when it isn't even that bad. I'm not saying Mupen is bad, infact its better than PJ64. But it dosn't make much of a difference and half the time my comp would freeze when I tried to start the game.

Please don't post your opinion in a thread were nobody asked for it. This isn't a discuss Mupen64K thread. Thank you.
Your opinion was that Jigglymaster was lazy, so I could say the same thing to you.

Jigglymaster has my exact opinion written down there, I don't see any need for Mupen to exist at all.

Also, you're expecting people to take up a whole GB of space with this?

Thats not the point tho. It was because I couldn't get it mupen to work b4 and I tried starting it like 5 times and it didn't work. I just don't feel like going through all the manual stuff. I still don't see why PJ64 is so bad. It hardly laggs for me and i think its just fine.

............

I-I'm sorry, I thought this thread was for entering the tourney tomorrow.

If you want to rant about how pj64/mupen sucks maybe-scratch that-you should definitely make a new thread.

*pfft* I couldn't care less which ones better just do the tourney or don't

I use mupen whenever I get the chance, but most of the time I am forced to use pj64,which I don't mind really mind.

*claps hand over mouth*Sorry I went offtopic(not that I'm the first):******:

Ok then well I'm just gonna sum up that I'm not going to join this tourny because we have to use mupen. and ant-d there is like only 1 mupen game online. 90% of the community uses Pj64. Also it sounds too much like Mugen and Mugen is much better than mupen. And that be it.

First of all, those were some random*** reasons, Second we(as in me and okaygo) have already portrayed that we don't care.
