i cant decide on a single one for many characters i've thought of (example villager, bees or furniture rain? :p), so i was thinking... what if each character had a couple final smashes; one to start with, and the others unlockable by some way. then, using name customization options, pick whether you want to use certain ones or not. what do you guys think?

P.S. sorry if this has been brought up already, i didn't see it, so... yeah

With Sakurai speaking about customization of some kind it's certainly not impossible, but I think it'd be too much work for too little of a payoff in Sakurai's eyes. One final smash is enough either way, it's not like it's necessary for any character to have multiple of them, and even if it'd still be a nice bonus I'd rather that they put resources and focus on other things.

They couldn't give the existing cast proper Final Smashes last time. I rather then get them right and balanced first, and then if they somehow have time they can think about it later in development.

Like seriously. Falco's Final Smash in Brawl can deal more damage in like three seconds than Mario's Final Smash as a whole. :(

Making multiple final smash seems a bit unnecessary. If each character had say 3 final smashes, it wouldn't be long before competitive players start to only use one of them because it's more powerful. It think it would just require too much work to balance and time can be better be spend elsewhere.

Smashballs wont likely be legal in competitive events, though I very much agree.

yeah all of you guys have valid points. my whole deal here is just IF it were to happen, and IF it could be done right while still putting great effort into everything else. i really just wanted to know what fellow smashers thought of the possibility, but hey, great to know our heads are firmly below the clouds! :bee:

If Mario could get a fireball-based Spirit Bomb that would be great.

It would be cool if you can have final smashes based on the other B moves activated by B and a directional input. Forget about recovering with UpB with a FS activated since FS aren't meant for balance.

Give Bowser Giga Bowser for Neutral B

Side B(Bowser.. FINALEEE) Give him a combo attack to a finishing cinematic body slam causing massive damage to the person you catch in your arm and extreme knock back from the final slam to anyone in range. Visual quakes will give representation to active hitboxes. On input the game will freeze for a split second with nothing but Bowser with his claw in the air and a flash of light. Game will resume movement and who ever is in range is grabbed.

Down B(Bowser atom bomb!!) Bowser jumps offscreen and rockets down butt first into the ground. Not only is he falling at mach speed(slowed down for suspense), he is holding bob-ombs in each hand.

Up B(Koopa Kid... WHIRLWIND!!) Bowser summons his Koopa Kids and they fall down on random platforms and spin around like in the 2D games. Each Koopa Kid has a different effect on their spin.

It would be great with a character has access to more than one Final Smash. It would be even greater of players have the option of switching between getting a FS via Smash Ball or filling up
a Smash meter/gauge.

This is what I always wanted. If this was true, I think we would need to replace one of the jump buttons specifically for this. Also, if this idea was in the existing Brawl cast. I could totally see Sonic becoming high tier.

I also think that FS customization should be for the 3DS, and you can move it to the Wii U, like how Sakurai said about moving customized characters to the Wii U.

Multiple final smashes are great, but what we need are more condemnation final smashes like with Captain Falcon in Brawl.

They could have one offensive FS and one defensive FS.

Peach's FS in Brawl represents a defensive FS, while Zelda's represents an offensive.

Well the most Obvious would be Mewtwos X and Y forms since he has 2 of them and he can mega evolve on his own and change back after a very short time according to the 3rd movie he had
