Despite the first post, I see the logic behind this thread. Super Smash Brothers is a Nintendo franchise, correct? So, technically, it needs a representative in Brawl, as SSB is itself a Nintendo All-star. It's a bit paradoxical, but it works.
Now, the question is... who, if anyone, would represent Smash Bros. in Smash Bros? Master and Crazy Hand are too cheap, since they'd always be in Stamina, and you can't really combo them since they don't flinch. Sandbag would be so awesome, he would break the game as soon as he was unlocked
. Metal Mario and Giant DK are meaningless with the Metal Box and Super Mushroom items. The Polygon Team/Wire Frames could work, but they lack specials and would generally suck. The Subspace Army would all be too generic and incomplete, and the Ancient Minister, unless he grew a pair of hands, would have to rely on all projectiles, which would not make a good character.
So, the only reasonable choices are to completely disregard the concept of having a Smash rep in Smash, or to introduce a new character, probably during Subspace Emissary, that would act as such. I don't think making it the best character in the game would be a good idea, but giving him medium everything - power, speed, range, jumps - would make him both better and worse than everyone else. That sounds about right for a Smash rep in Smash, don't you think?
Of course, this is assuming Sakurai actually comes up with something like this.
