What the title says. Who do you guys think is the character that requires the most amount of technical skill to play well, other than Fox or Falco?

It's a difficult question to answer, honestly.
Even including spacies. With spacies and falcon it's just easier for most people to see when they are doing technical things because they look flashy.

Anyway, in no particular order:
Peach
Samus
ICs
Yoshi

with Peach/Samus/ICs in particular there are a lot of very minute things, but very complicated things that are incredibly hard to recognize as an outsider.

I also wouldn't consider Peach as a character that requires a lot of technical skill, but I would guess she takes more than most people imagine. I'm not a Peach main nor do I have much Peach knowledge, but my guess is there is some subtleties to her that most don't think about.

I think Falcon's tech is overrated. Most of what he does is simple tech stuff, it just requires you to do this simple tech rapidly and with a high rate of success. A lot of his combos are crazy stuff is more about positioning, predicting, and reacting appropriately, which I personally don't attribute to tech.

Samus's tech is quite intense and very specific. A lot of it has very little cross-over with other characters. There is a ton of crazy stuff that she does that one needs to be able to perform in order to get the most out of her. IC's are in a similar position with some very advanced character specific stuff.

If it isn't Yoshi then idk who else it could be. His mobility with people who know his tech extremely well (aMSa) is ridiculous.

Captain falcon isn't very hard technically, he's just insanely demanding from a repeatability standpoint. You have to play PERFECTLY in order for him to be viable at a high level, and nobody can play perfect forever.

Probably ICs. Wobbling is hard and you need to desync really well to do most of their tech stuff reliably.

What about all of falcon's invincible ledge mechanics? Or being technical about his movement? Like doing running shield drops into wavelands and such

That is indeed technical, but the OP asks for the most technical after spacies. And that's probably Yoshi. CF is up there but not just third IMO.

Clearly the hardest to play as is Jigglypuff :awesome: Or Sheik/Marth :awesome::awesome::awesome:

Actually though, Yoshi is indeed very technical (parrying, DJC counters OoS, practically mandatory shield dropping, probably other stuff I'm forgetting). Wobbling's not that hard to actually do if one takes the time to practice it, it's just tricky to set up (try Fly Amanita CGs - those are a bit trickier). Falcon is technical in the sense that you have to press a lot of buttons in a very short time, even if many of those are SHFFLs like most other characters.

I'm just curious as to what you guys think. I actually like playing Falco a lot and I respect Fox players. It's just people talk about their skill needed but not much about other characters

alright i'll give a more legit answer then.

1. ICs
2. Yoshi
3. Samus
4. Falcon
5. Ganon
6. Peach
7-24. who gives a ****

ICs because of the stupid number of desync options you need to learn. holy **** it's mind boggling when you think about it.

yoshi's next cause....amsa. nuff said.

as some people in here have pointed out, samus has a lot of technically demanding aspects about her. the super wavedash, missile cancel shenanigans, etc. to fully master her as a character would be quite difficult.

a lot of people seem to think falcon doesn't require that much tech skill, but rather consistency and fast fingers. i disagree. if you fully utilize his speed and movement options he's quite difficult to play. shield drops are something that's almost required of falcon these days, similar to yoshi. you also have the plethora of ledge options he has and how difficult they are to do. hax dashing fully invincible is a thing and if that doesn't require an insane amount of tech skill idk what does.

i've got the main bias going here but ganon definitely is an underrated character when it comes to his technical prowess. his movement utilized to the max is ****ing crazy. you need to be able to perfect waveland on impulse everywhere. but the two things that make him technical are his 0-death chain grabs on spacies and ****load of invincible ledge options that require frame perfect input. yes you heard me correctly, ganon can chain grab spacies from ~0-death. but it requires insanely fast reflexes and a lot of jump canceled grabs. as for the ledge options, ganon too can hax dash fully invincible. he can also jab invincible and even waveland into jab invincible if you're frame perfect.

peach has a lot of subtle tech that's difficult. her double jump canceled shenanigans are hard to master fully, fc nairs oos in rapid succession ain't easy, etc. i wish i could go into more detail, but sadly i do not know enough about peach to explain very well.
