Monthly tournament in Iowa

If anyone in Iowa is interested in coming to a tournament in Waverly Iowa there's going to be one each month if there's enough interest. Anyone interested?

There are large smash groups in Des Moines and Iowa City. We have monthlies here in IC and if you had an organized plan I'm sure many of us would come. Are you in the Iowa Smash Facebook group? That'd be a good place to post, it's our most used discussion place.

We mainly play melee. We play some PM as well.

I would definitely support a monthly in the Waverly area. I'd have to insist Melee be included though. I'm one of the five Bauz mentioned from Cedar Falls, so if this is something serious I'd be down to help in making it happen.

I'd still prefer melee, but I'd try out a Sm4sh tournament. Do you know what the rules would be at all?

Last time it was double elimination and you could only choose one character for the tournament. Five dollar entry fee and all the money is paid out. So the more people the bigger the prize.

Games are at Game Geeks(Above TCB in the Hall Mall, which is in the ped mall) Thursdays normally starting around 5, and people even play throughout the weekend if there is interest. Other people hold various games around but our most common form of communication is the Facebook group, so sadly without Facebook you will kind of be out of the loop.

With over 140 people registered for the great Revival this weekend in WI, things are looking great for the MW so far and we expect things to be just as crazy up in MN with the Warehouse Throwdown 3.1415!!!

The 2nd leg of the circuit is in S. St. Cloud, MN on March 14th 2015. Registration will end March 6th at 11:59 pm (DIFFERENT THAN POSTED AS OF THIS POST), and the venue fee will increase by $5 on Feb 21st.
