Hey, just wondering if anyone knew of any tournies that consistently happened in MD. If not, would anyone be able to make it to Harford County, MD. For any type of tournament? It's about an hour from the PA line, and 45 minutes - 1hour from Columbia and Baltimore MD.

If you have any interest in this and can tell me how many people we could get to go to this, it would be appreciated. I may have a LAN center that could host this, it's entirely dependent on an estimated turnout and if they can free up a night.

Thanks,
Bouse

Look around a bit dude, there's a tourney in MD or northern VA basically every weekend. In fact, there's 2 this weekend.

Ugh... I don't want to have to drive two and a half hours to get to ****ing Virginia. It seriously burns me out and I don't really enjoy being there for 4+ hours if I'm dead by the first 2. I was mainly inquiring as to the number of people who would be interested in attending a tournament in the area, because there are a couple people in my area who are interested in setting one up.

I mean, I live somewhat close to Harford county so I might be interested, but the bulk of the MD/VA smash community refuses to leave the DC metro area :ohwell:

Well, I know around 5-10 locals personally who'll be consistent. Probably 10-15 who'll show up if they've been notified long enough ahead of time. Not to mention I might be able to notify a couple local gaming clubs in the area if I can get a regular spot to hold tournaments.

If I can get 20-30 consistent people from surrounding areas it should be a relatively solid monthly tournament.

Well- why not just announce one then and see if people show? I would recommend having a tourney on the 21st of February, as nothing is scheduled on that date yet.

Hrm... about how many people show up to these things? The venue can hold maybe 40 people, unless I can find a bigger one.
