Monsters of Pixar, unite: Monster's University

Yes, yes, this might be old news to some, but I DID NOT hear about a Monster's Inc. 2 movie coming out. Why does everyone hate my inner organs and I and don't tell me these things!?

Well, whatever, I've been waiting for a new movie about M.I., and best of all, it's a back-story, which is always awesome. Apparently about how Sully and Mikey met in collage.

What do you guys think of this?

I'm not sure about that movie. All I hope is that that movie doesn't end up as another Twilight or Super Mario Bros. Movie: Super Hype, then failure. But it does look good..!

It's actually a prequel, not a sequel. It's being compared to Revenge of the Nerds. We'll see. Pixar hasn't been on fire lately.

Monsters Inc is actually my favorite Pixar movie (or at the least it's tied with WALL-E) so I'm cautiously excited about this.

Wreck it Ralph has Sara Silverman and a bunch of videogame character references in it.

Ryu, Ken, M. Bison, Zangeif, Chun Li, Cammy, Sonic, Robotnik, Bowser, Frogger, Kano, Smoke, Pac-Man, HotD Zombie, Neff, Paperboy.

That's a pretty legendary line up. No videogame nerd can say no to that. Wow, the last Disney movie I saw was "Meet The Robinsons" in 2007. Go me.

Brave was shockingly mediocre for a Pixar movie. I am looking forward to Monster University though.

I personally found TS2 to be the perfect ending. TS3 was a good movie, but TS2 should of been the ending, by my opinion.

I can give you the one accurate idea of why they decided to make another movie about Monsters, Inc.

Head of Disney Pixar: Hmm, so we reused Toy Story, and probably not going to have another one for the next 4 years or so... and we've pretty much ran out of ideas for a good movie now.... JENKINS!

Jenkins: Yes, sir?

Head of Disney Pixar: Name two of our older movies we could make a sequel with.

Jenkins: Well, sir, there's uhh.... Monsters, Inc. and The Incredib-

Head of Disney Pixar: MONSTERS, INC.! Start a production team of 34 about a uhm... uhh.... hmmm, what's the name of movies that go back instead of forward?

Jenkins: Prequels, sir?

Head of Disney Pixar: PREEE-QUILS! Make one about the main characters derrrr.... meeting in college or something. Call it.... Monsters University.

Jenkins: On it, sir!

And that's how this idea came into production, from my opinion, even though it doesn't matter anyway.

The last Pixar movie I was was Up which I really liked, so I don't really know about any of the recent stuff.
I'm looking forward to this though, I actually already have plans to see it with someone.

Monsters Inc. is easily one of my favorite Pixar's movie. It was fun, entertaining, and slightly emotional but not over the top. I am looking forward to the prequel!

My second favorite Pixar movie was Up. God, that movie made me shed man tears.

I think I might've read an announcement of another Monsters, Inc. movie in the works. However, that was several months ago, before 2012 even started.
