Hey everyone. The delay sure has pummeled our spirits into the ground, hasn't it? We were so close to playing, and it slipped away, avoiding our hands for yet another week/month. Disappointment filled the boards, but we soon got over it (most of us at least).

Still, I say this, and I realize that I haven't gotten over it, but rather suppressed it. No matter how hard I want to accept it, I keep thinking of all I have to go through before March 9th. School, Diving Championships, and suspense! I'm not here to tell you how to deal with the longer wait, I'm here to share a time where I realized, "This game, no matter when it comes out, will spark an entire generation of people to play live they've never played before"

It was last night, at my friend's birthday party. We were looking at my friend's favorite game, Turrok, online. I brought up Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and how I'd be dead to the world on that day. One of my other friend's recently got a Wii for Christmas, and shared in my excitement. I went to youtube and searched the Final Smash Compilation Video. Everyone watched in absolute awe, as Fox's tank falls from the sky, or Bowser turns into Giga Bowser.

In my mind, I get this sort of..."high" when I hear the "WOAHS" pouring from there mouths. You should've heard them when Fox's tank fell, it was astounding. Link and Ike's Final Smash got huge acclaim. Only one of them owns a Wii, and getting a "Woah" from a WII game is big, beause people don't expect the Wii to live up to other consoles. It was right then, when I realized something. Something that makes this wait so...obsolete.

After everything we've been through, after countless heartbreakers, jump for joy, suicidal days, we have the honorable right to play the game. This game, it is going to appeal to everyone who is anyone. To spark an interest in a group of people who didn't even enjoy Melee astounds me. The sheer fact that a game brings people together for the sole reason of smashing people apart, it's amazing. Thank you Sakurai, and everyone, give yourself a pat on the back. We deserve it, and nothing can take away our sheer excitement. Delay it to the ends of the world, we might be mad as hell, but we are still in it to win it! Let's take this extra month with our heads held high, and our spirits HIGHER THAN EVER!

We don't deserve the game. But still, we do a good job.

Your speech was very good. We don't have to complain about it being delayed.

Sorry. This is only a precautionary measure.

Alright...

I have gotten over it but still. This was a nice read. It was cool when I go to school and just popped up a conversation with some people I don't normally talk with.

"You know Super Smash Bros. Brawl? The new one? It got delayed again."

"What?! Again?!"

And I didn't even know they were into video games... Great stuff.

I'd wait even 3 months longer for it. I might be angry, but I would still anticipate its release. But every day as I'm waiting for this game, it seems like I become more obsessed with Smash. Doing Smash related things is pretty much all i do during the weekend and I talk about it during school as well. For me the past 5 months have been amazing, waiting for Brawl to come out. I've never been more obsessed about a game than I am right now about Brawl.

Cute little story,I guess. But everyone knows this game is going to be one of the best Wii titles ever. This story demonstrates just how good it will come to be (if it does ever come).

It really is true... I have a lot of friends who either don't play fighting games or never got into Melee for one reason or another, but most of them have been blown away time and time again by the announcements surrounding brawl, specifically around new characters.

When I told a group of my friends that both Snake and Sonic would be in it, many of them went to buy Wii's just for Brawl. (Those that did buy Wii's were convinced by me that they should get it now because Wii's will be impossible to find when Brawl does come out.)

I was upset by the delay as much as anyone, but I'm viewing it from a positive angle (I will be able to get more consecutive days off in March, have finances squared away so I can afford to do that). You all should too! :)

I'm kinda disappointed about the delay, but I'm sure there will be some great games between here and March 9 that will occcupy me long enough till Brawl comes.

I don't know if it was you, or the Zelda music that I'm listening to, but I was awed by the intensity of that speech. It expresses everything I think about Brawl.

I'm going to go watch that FS compilation.

You win sir, over 900 internets

When I look back on it, this Smash Bros series has probably done a lot more for me then I've ever cared to realize. I have so many friends because of this game, and i don't know what life would be without them. And then I look back at the friends who didn't play Melee. Druggies, drinkers... it almost scares me to think what might've happened if this series didn't exist.

I'm proud to say that this game has been a major part of my life. I can't wait to get my hands on it.
