Hey Everybody, my names MRS1 aka M0M. I'm a hardcore Samus player, I really don't like to play any other characs, not even in friendlys. Not even when I just start up the game by myself and I can do anything I want. Samus is the coolest Smash character cause of her shiny suit full of projectiles.

Anyway here's some vids of me playing, mostly with my roomate and Ganon main DAD. Courtesy of the good man Vivid, who uploaded these for me.

^This is the best one I have uploaded, a little action for the fans. Check out the bomb gimps at 1:18 and 1:52

^One agaisnt Shiek, but what happens to Samus' upsmash at 0:10? Oh and be sure to check out the Mom combo at 2:25.

^d-d-double up B at 0:35 ,MOM combo at 2:35 I like to think that the up b weakens the opponent's resolve cause it captures them for a bit, so I like to do it twice whenever possible. It always nakes the opponent say, "Oh my God" in frustration.

^ Here's one where DAD wins! But we both play ok I think.

Bombs (as an attack) are in a battle with jigglypuffs sing as the worst move in the game.

There are much better options. Regardless, if your opponent is inexperienced enough to get hit by one.

bombs have endless applications and put great ground pressure on snake and mk, i liked your use of them. They gimp the **** out of people with horizontal recovery or ness/lucas. Whats a mom combo?

My opponent in the gimping case is my training partner of about three years. (Brawl since launch). He definitely knows what hes doing when it comes to fighting me, and what my arsenal of tricks is. I don't mind if you don't use bombs, but they are great for gimping, putting pressure for spiking, making opponents think twice when approaching, and more.

Thanks for the words. A mom combo is when you go under the stage and hit 'em with the charge shot. Its kind of a joke combo, but it works pretty good for me, and getting 23 damage at the start of a round plus avoiding a revenge kill is pretty good.

Thanks for the explanation dexl, too bad its not a secret usmash cancel.

Lol, if he trained for three years and is still getting gimped by bombs; somethings wrong.
He could have just jumped later/sonner to avoid the gimp... it ALWAYS exploxed the same time...

Don't forget Mario's F.L.U.D.D. I'll take the bombs over that any day.

Not really, if Mario had a really fast powerful attack to take advantage of the now vulnerable opponent, then yes. Usmash is sorta strong, but it would be better if he had Squirtle's.

Not really, the FLUDD at least has some range on it. Bombs don't need to be charged though. If Samus had the FLUDD she could set-up her utilt, which is obnoxiously strong on an airborne opponent near the ledge.

Nice vid, but Luigi and Sheik just F'd up, they could have gotten back. Nice vid though, especially the combo on Snake.

lol bombs definatley have applications and you dont have to be dumb to run into then, plus bomb jumping on your way down from being knocked way up makes people less like to jump after you or like mk to up b you witch is hard to react to

i usually just use bombs to recover and cover my tracks. ill just place a bomb in my opponents way and see what happens. if they chill, they get a missle or two. if they jump to avoid it, ZAIR TO THE FACE.

QFT.

I have also had a bomb blow someone into my Dtilt for a kill, but its all circumstantial. Bombs are a great mindgame because WE dont even know what they will do.

After 6 months of getting owned left right and center, the last couple of weeks of me actually winning has convinced me that bombs rock. They don't have to hit to make things tough for your opponent.

Somebody bumped this old thread? Thats cool. Yeah honestly Tudor's combo vid thread should be getting more bomb attention cause his use of that lil bomb off the ledge trick is nice and I'm gonna start using it that consistently. But that's dope Throwback got any vids of you using bombs or more specific descriptions? I also believe they can be used to great effect maybe even insurence for chain grabs. Who knows.

no no vids sorry. Might get some this weekend tho. My main use (in the last week or 2) is to drop them whenever I see enough space to do so. Any opponent approaching is therefore at a disadvantage, and if they don't approach then you get to attack first.

I have been meaning to try -onstage- d-tilt -> (bait air-dodge) dair -> bomb, then di backwards as you fall. If they roll to you, nair/bair. If they don't move, the bomb gets them. If they roll away, zair. For an opponent who techs the dair landing, dair again. Sideways tech stops you though (just bomb again/zair).
