Ok so I was doing my usual browsing of the internet today(Smashboards,MLG etc..)

Well at MLG I see that there is the 2007 schedule!!

So I click wait the 15 seconds and then proceed to be angry as to what MLG has done to the WC and smash.

here is the link: http://www.mlgpro.com/?q=node/106084

So yea, lets hear your thoughts, your anger, and your dissapointment.

DISCUSS!

No West Coast events... yet.

Trust me when I say they haven't screwed us. You may be in for a surprise this summer.

;)

Oh, and Smash is off the main MLG circuit. So it doesn't really matter to us if they don't come out here.

Yeah I saw this, but also note it said they allegedly have something "big" planned for Smash, so let's just wait till we hear that before we jump to conclusions.

So for h2 they have all but one event west of the mississippi. Those dub see players should upset that they have to go to Dallas to play. I'll hold off on melee until I see it.

Can you imagine if they did Western Conference vs. Eastern Conference h2 and melee? lol

My personal hope is that the surprise for Smash is that MLG will be sponsoring three (or more) tournaments over the summer across the country. Something like one in SoCal, one in the Midwest, one in New York or DC. The tournaments most likely wont be run by MLG, but rather by the tried and true tournament organizers not part of MLG. Meaning that the tournaments would be like 0C3, FC10 (or whatever number they are using) and something on the east coast. Or they will just host their own tournaments. Either way, I could see it happening easily.

There was a big hint in this thread that turned on the light bulb, NK. It wasn't just a random hope, it was one that I felt was realistic.

Through what little has been said here, there is enough to see that something is going on...

Oh well, whatever the "big" thing to appease the WC will probably only please the smashers in Southern California. Oregon and Washington will have to travel 20+ hours for anything MLG. And yet on the EC there's tournaments all along the coast.

Isn't Halo 2's WC crowd bigger than the East, and if it is, why not have more WC MLG things?

East Coast [EDIT: and Midwest] always has been bigger for Halo. In 2005 they had events in Seattle, San Francisco and LA, and San Francisco+Seattle got the lowest turnouts of the year (for Halo.) And Anaheim in 2006 had the lowest turn out.

Yes, 20 hours if we were willing to drive with Timmy and Tommy again. =P
I'd say about 2 hours when me and Nate fly there. I'm going no matter what. I'll rob a bank if I don't get a job in the next 4 months.

Neal may be the leading cause of Smug in California based on his work in this thread.

Oh, I get it, I guess I'm used to seeing < > around it though. When I don't see those I think of a "slash command."

Or perhaps not enough...

Slash commands have been around longer than that, but perhaps you are all too young to remember the days of UO and EQ, or dare I say, Nethack.
