I don't know, there's something about being completely robbed of your lynch because of broken voting rules that makes me a bit tetchy.

I mean, I guess Gheb was counting on that or he would've claimed sooner. But what the hell. I thought we might actually have a chance against a stacked setup with TRG making it so obvious he was the cop.

Ahh the voting system... I agree I didn't like it compared to the regular system we usually have (assuming it's regular).
No, EpicMafia's voting system is by far the ****tiest thing ever. It literally ONLY works because games are 5 minutes long and no one has actual things to talk about because the setup is so broken the only thing that matters is who claims cop first. I'd expect to never see this again.

No the lock system was the day ending early if everyone was voting, not the whoever has most at days end regardless of majority thing

Yea i dont necessarily like the voting setup but the lock mechanic helped balance it for scum a bit
I don't know why you'd want to play with a lock mechanic anyways when we have a perfectly good, normal, voting system we use all the time.

I mean, it's probably better than just playing most votes at deadline, because that's open to all sorts of last-minute shenanigans. I can't be around for deadlines anyways so it's an utter ***** for me.

I honestly feel you. I felt robbed when Gheb wasn't dead at the time even though I was town and wrong (especially because it made me look scummy and opportunistic for not knowing that the day continued).

There's literally no reason to here. What would happen in our forum is the game would drag out to deadline EVERY TIME someone was unanimously voted for because they wouldn't vote themselves, and people wouldn't vote at all in the mean time.

The system only works in those literal 3 minute games because the max you can wait IS three minutes for a stubborn town or scum to get timed out of voting.

Look I shouldn't technically be posting, but the game is mechanically over. I don't know whether Vinyl would make you wait til deadline again, but you would have to lynch outside of TRG /Gorf to lose, and none of you are dumb enough to do that in an open.

Well actually Gheb should be dead, but apparently he can protect himself or some other such bull****.

You were blindingly obvious, though, and that is actually a terrible way to play that role.
If Gheb legit was able to protect himself...

I'm sorry Vinyl, but that's not supposed to happen.

Docs shouldn't be able to self protect

Ever.

The lock/leading wagon at deadline might work decently if we had played this like a marathon game.
Which we should totally do a marathon day before new years

But if I was obvious why didn't Gorf NK me? Macho Cop can't be protected by the Doc.
Obvious to Kary might not have been obvious to Gorf: We are talking about someone who just bussed their mate into a 5v1.

I wouldn't rule out some doc shenanigans that weren't supposed to happen etc. either.

Apologies to Gorf if you actually wanted to play toDay, but since you got bingo'd rather than someone just being clear, we're completely ****ed here.

Honestly I would only consider such a variation if it was in a game much like my Hearts Mafia experimental: where there's a time limit involved and lynches happen even without full majority, but not with the locking. Locking your votes for any reason sounds so gross

Speaking of which does anyone have any critiques for me?

Always looking to improve my game. Mafia is fun as **** when playing with the right people.
Don't translate your pr so openly. There's very few times that is a good idea.

Put your own thoughts out more often concerning your reads and others behaviors

Do nothing that I did this entire game unless you know that there's someone who knows exactly how you play in it who is already town.

I don't know exactly because I didn't strong arm Gorf into an action. If I was allowed to post at Night (which i'm not because i'm dead), I would have done.

Killing Gheb, who's definitely clear, leaves Gorf an option if you investigate anyone but him.

What about my play specifically made it obvious I had a PR?

This I can def improve on... Still have no idea how to scum hunt with confidence yet. Just one of those things that comes with experience I guess.

I'm glad I was right about my townread on you, Swords, and Gheb at least.

You tunneled on JDietz, which I think was you leaning on your PR. There were pretty good reasons why Dietz was town and you didn't seem willing to compromise. That being said, your reads weren't that bad at all.

Also, you telegraphed your role, both with the 'huehuehue', and also with the 'I'm waiting on the cop results'.

To add to what Kary said: especially the "It'll make sense later". There's a very good reason I said "NEVER SAY THAT" quoting it.

It's like specifically pointing out "I have a role or gambit that this will make sense with in post game, scrutinize my slot to figure out what it is". There aren't scum PRs in this game (and even if there were, they'd know you weren't with them): so you spilled the beans a little there. Luckily people wifom stuff like that sometimes, so it's not a sure fire slip: but still it probably shouldn't be repeated if you get a PR again and don't yet want to claim.

The way you kept pushing for a cop target made it pretty obv your thoughts were geared toward the cop and i pinned you as the role.
The way i play town is basically "this is what i see and this is how i feel and this is how i interpret it"
80% of my thoughts end up in thread basically unchanged and i will end up being right on my first impressions in about 70% of those cases. The rest of the thoughts either involve pr info or things ive picked up and dont want to lay out just yet

^ Noted... Having a PR as town is weird to me cause I feel like I'm restricted in my desire to look obvtown (which apparently I'm decent at) without caring about being NKed.

It's like a balancing act... You have to make it obvious enough that you're town to avoid getting lynched while not making it TOO obvious to everyone that you're town so that you don't run the risk of getting NKed.
