The perpetual trash fire known as Planet Earth(tm)
As the title says; you can redo an existing Adventure Mode or create a brand-new one altogether. My example is a Metroidvania-esque mode where you rescue different fighters in different levels based on different franchises...and it's entirely a redo of SSBU's Adventure Mode but it's not going to be called World of Light nor does it feature Galeem and Dharkon. It's also named after Sonic Frontiers; I call it Adventure Mode: The Lost Frontier.
A dimension traveler known as the Supreme Titan has laid waste to every world that has bore witness to its awesome power. Several fighters band together and mount a last stand against this new threat, as well as a massive army of Master Hands and Crazy Hands under the Titan's control. However, before any fighting can start, the Titan fires beams of light that consumes all but a precious few and turns everything else into Spirits, the fruits of the Titan's destruction of every world it invades. The only survivors of the attack are Mario, Donkey Kong, Link, Samus, Yoshi, Kirby, Fox and Pikachu, and now they have no choice but to traverse the new world created by the Supreme Titan to rescue both their friends and their enemies.
The gameplay takes the regular Smash Ultimate gameplay and applies it to a Metroidvania-esque adventure. You run around in a giant map with levels that you can travel to. You fight enemies during your travels to gain EXP and level up your overall party. You can travel to each level's starting point whenever you want, as they are automatically available to travel to whenever you'd like. Up to two players can be on screen at once, and each player can switch between up to 4 playable characters by pressing Shield and pressing either left, up, right or down on the D-Pad.

There are also save points in each level that you can also fast travel to once you've discovered them for the first time. These save points usually have fighters to rescue and you can't access the fountains in the save room (which allow to save or quit the game and change your party) until you've rescued the fighter. There are also four Spirits to rescue in each save room; two of them are randomly picked, which are signified by gold trophy stands, while the other two are Spirits that you will need later, which are signified by red trophy stands that revert to gold once you've collected the latter Spirits.

There are also doors that lead to each part of a level with different colors and symbols.
  • Red doors with no symbols simply lead to the other part of the level
  • Yellow and blue doors with up and down symbols, respectively, are part of a branching path in the level
  • Green doors with open book symbols lead to a save room
  • Purple doors with skull icons lead to a boss
For this, I'm going to quote one of my countless fantasy rosters.
