i really dont think anything other then strats shouldnt be on these boards. If the other coasts dont know almost our exact crew, then they wouldnt be any good as strats themselves. lets be serious here, its not like results or vids are hidden from other coasts.

You get to make a new one.

If everyone kept up on them like they supposed to they would know that the site crashed a bit after FC.

an ec player who has more tech than him.

~5150
First off, this sort of logic can basically cover any player from any region. Any ec player who has better tech than player 'x' shouldn't rule out that player 'x' is on the team. EC will most likely have good ol' PC on their team and given that he's the best player in the nation would basically rule out any midwest being on the midwest team.
Second, if we are talking character match ups... (which I obviously was) there aren't too many people who are more comfortable against space animals then wuwu...and even with his lack of expierence still puts up with and beats the more noteable players from the MW and even had a lead on forward in their set at smym but lost it for whatever reason....most likely consistency which goes back to Tink's statement that the pressure may be too much for him to bear. I don't necessarily contend this statement cuz wuwu doesn't have the expierence of most of the big name people...but talking technical skill and style of play I don't think he is out matched by any ec.. expierence may be the factor.
Third, by saying that are you saying he shouldn't be on the team? He can't handle it? He doesn't have the tech? Well, 5150 you'd be hard pressed to make any of those statements. He beat drephen at smym but you don't seem to question drephen's bid to be on the team...
O, and he's asain...so video games...plus asian is a natural connection...
~Zec

ps. nooo I'm not just a wuwu fan boy cuz he's my friend / partner for doubles...its cuz he doesn't leave a whole lot of openings when he plays and has solid combos....subtract a dumb mistake from inexpierence (which is less and less every tourny) and you have a genuinly good falco player.

sniper, drephen won an EC tourny beating chillin, azen, and them guys, and hes beaten like all of the good mw guys at least once or twice (<3 drew). he deserves a spot for that alone, dont question drephens ability ever, i dont.

zec. think again plz. has wuwu ever played anyone ec that was really good? no. has drephen, tink, darkrain, vidjo, etc, etc? yes. he has no experience outside of the midwest really.

he will prob not do so well against an ec techy space animal, even though he is "comfortable", because our most technical fox is cunning who isnt on par with the super-top players, and our next most technical fox is tink, who doesnt do really crazy tech stuff really he just knows how to abuse fox ****. dope isnt really technical at all. there's our space animal list. so when wuwu goes up against m2k, pc, kdj, and all the other lesser known ec people he will get beat.

wuwu lived on the EC for 4 months and trained with NEO, Chillin, Azen ad teh entire Team Arlington................sooooooooooooooooooooooooo shhhhhhhh

he beat kdj in a bunch of friendlies at fc6 before he knew he was kdj.
and I watched for an entire night of wuwu beatin on rob$....

does that change opinion?

and I din't question drephen's skill but if you all say that EC is SOOOOOO much more technical well isn't technical what normally beats drephen/shiek?? It's hard for even the best shieks to keep up with the speed of a technical player and if you watch the vids of the really fast japanese shieks they still lose to a technical fox.
Don't get me wrong I love drephen but I think wuwu is more apt to take on a technical player cuz of the lasers... those things stop all the fakes an movement no matter what character someone is playing. This isn't me saying wuwu should take drephen's spot but if you look at the characters and how they match up can you really say that you'd rather have a sheik go up against m2k, pc, or kdj than wuwu's falco???

No, it doesn't change opinion. Friendlies never will. Now, how was his record at FC6? Who did he beat, who was he eliminated by? That's what matters. Same with recent tournaments. Who did he lose to, who did he beat? I beat Wuwu, so I should get his spot, right?

The fact is, Wuwu has plenty of time to prove himself. I think he's actually got a great shot of making the team as a starter, but he has not proven consistency yet and has some odd losses on his resume. Over the next couple months I'm sure everyone will be watching him.

One last thing, experience is a very vital in these crew battles. People may blow it off, but Trail is the perfect example of that last year. He was just starting to get really good, but hadn't perfected his consistency yet, and it showed up in the crew battle. Now I have zero qualms with Trail as a starter, so that's the only reason I use him as an example. <3 Trail

Now move this discussion to the Midwest Forums or I'll close it. :p

Drephen is obviously one of the best players the MW has to offer, and he's proven that multiple times, in plenty of ways. I can't understand why you wouldn't want him on the team??

Saying you think WuWu should be on the team is one thing, but replacing Drephens spot would just be a mistake, period.

i have a feeling that drephen felt like most of us at smym... saw the pool, might have had one poor match and completley stopped caring, do'nt let his one bad performance hinder anyone's opinion, he's one of the guys that other coasts fear the most, imo

Shrug. I think I might close this thread and leave it stickied. The point of the thread is to register on www.midwestcrew.com, and PM your new boards name to him. Then discuss over there. Thanks!
