Ruleset will be very similar to the Midwest Circuit ruleset, except probably no pools, unless people would rather we had them.

$10 per person for teams, $10 for 1v1
$3 entry fee regardless of participation (pays for the venue) [$2 if you bring a setup or a TV, free if you bring both a setup and a TV]
Remaining pot will be split 60/30/10 for both teams and singles.

SINGLES RULES
Double Elimination.
All matches are best of 3 until finals. Winner's finals, loser's finals, and the finals are all best of 5.
4 stock, 8 minute time limit.
Random Stages: Final Destination, Battlefield, Dreamland 64, Yoshi Story, Fountain of Dreams, Pokemon Stadium, Rainbow Cruise, Mute City, Donkey Kong 64
Stages Banned: Hyrule Temple, Yoshi's Island, Fourside, Brinstar Depths, Big Blue, Termina, Flatzone, Icicle Mountain, Venom, Onett, MKI, MKII, and Yoshi's Island 64.
One stage cancellation per set.
Advanced slob picks: Loser picks stage, winner changes character, loser changes character.
Double Blind pick may be called at any time
Ties broken by stock/percentages
No items
No in-game coaching is allowed. Coaching is only allowed between matches, and the player and coach may only discuss for a maximum of 1 minute.
My version of DSR (can be changed if nobody likes it): A player cannot counterpick the stage he last won on.

Even though I'm not on the list I'll give my input.

- Date is probably fine for me.

- How much is the venue?

- $15/person for teams is a little much I think; I would suggest $10/person. As for singles, personally I think $10 is good, but $15 is probably ok. $15 might scare off some of the not so good players though.

- Any idea how many people just in the Ann Arbor area would come to this?

The venue is pretty cheap, like 50 bucks, so it shouldn't be much of a problem. Depending on how things pan out, it might even be free, so I'll update concerning that.
