I love your use of the Giant Punch :)

Btw, that repeative Forward cargo throw to regrab you did to Timmy's Kirby against the mountain wall on PokeStadium and the ship wall on Rainbow Cruise....it looks pretty cool. I'm assuming it's escapable, but because it's such an anormalable thing for a DK player to do. It looks effective, like Forward doing back throw to regrab with Falco against space animals.
Would you consider that an actual strat?
Also, is it save to assume it can be done to any character?

It is escapable, and yes, it can be done to any character, but i wouldn't reccommend it against most characters since theres usually better alternatives. The reason why it works is cuz most people will try to tech it or jump out of it, but you don't go into the tumbling animation when you get the cargo d throw, so they end up shielding, and you can grab before they are able to jump out. I usually don't do it against most characters cuz it doesn't rack damage up that quickly and it is escapable.

I've seen a lot of DKs in my day but yours is definitely the most entertaining to watch. You can tell that DK is your main and that you have a lot of experience and confidence in everything you do. What bothers me is that great DKs like you and Bum don't have any videos against any big time Marths or Samus's. I hear DK is really good against them, but I just haven't seen it. I would really like to.

yeah, there weren't any real good samus or marth players there. I played some mediocre samus's, but i just messed around, i didn't even play seriously and still got a 3 stock. lol

lol, i know, it sux, i didn't get any matches recorded against any foxes or any real fast fallers for that matter. It was just a Kirby, Bowser, and some ic's. I need some vids versus a fox, cuz thats interesting. Vs kirby, and bowser, and ic's is pretty boring

nice matches, did you win that set vs kira? I only saw 1st and 2nd matches (that 1st match where you 3 stocked a sheik.. oh **** lol)

Yeah, i won the set. It was actually a MM, and Kira adjusted really well after the first round.

There's not much **** a solid DK can do against Falco if he knows what he's doing. Mediocre Falcos get eaten easily though.

Yeah, falco is the one character that i might need to counterpick characters on, since thats the one character that i just can't beat (the good ones at least). lol, i just don't know who else to use. My DK is good, but the rest of my characters are mediocre at best..I dunno. Maybe i just need to learn to powershield consistently.

Heh, I use Samus for Falcos since she's so easy to pick up and alot of Falco players can't adjust to fight Samus. I beat CunningKitsune's Falco with Samus after watching 1 HugS video haha.

Now that's just your opinion. She's actually regarded as one of the harder characters to really use.

Falco camping ***** DK. And there's very little to get around it. Powershielding helps, sure, but it doesn't do much when you powershield one out of ten lasers. Unless you're very close to the Falco, he'll just retreat some lasers before your one powershielded laser can stop him long enough for you to grab him.
Also, smarter Falcos can see that coming, and shine in between SHLs, effectively eliminating any threat of your powershield.

ya, ihave to agree, in my mind at least IC and samus are the hardest to pick up..been playing this game for 4 years now as well as 64 for 2 or 3 before that..so i have enough experience to have played most of the char to some extent..but samus plays very uniquely, so it was a pain and i never bothered to learn her..
as for IC, i didn't feel like figuring out when and when not to use desynchs, so i never bothered there either.

oh and IC probably get punched so much because they are attempting to be highly mobile on the ground but have to use a vulnerable WD rather than something safer like dashdancing with marth;p

those long WD do rather hurt if you misspace it

Samus isn't difficult to pick up, in my opinion, but is a little difficult to master. She's got so many good moves though, it's hard not to be good with her.

Vs kirby is boring cuz there's not really any combos to do on kirby, and i'm pretty sure that DK has the advantage

Vs Ic's is boring because again, no real combos, but it isn't too boring since its an uphill battle

Vs Bowser is boring cuz although there are combos, its a pretty easy fight for DK (but i haven't played Gimpyfish's bowser yet though.....)
