Melee's "hard hit" sfx

In Melee I distinctly remember a small bit of aesthetic that made hitting someone with a powerful attack even more rewarding; the hard hit sound effect. Basically, if you hit a character hard (most notably the wire frames since they have no voice to drown out the sound effect), a special "roaring" or "gust-like" sound effect played. I've spoken to another friend of mine who knew exactly what I was referring to, and said he wished it had been in Brawl.

My point is, would it be possible/desirable to add this sound effect into Project M? Or at least, would it be possible to add an action in coding directing the game to play a blank sound on the ISO/brsar (assuming no sound on Brawl's ISO is a suitable replacement), which wouldn't play any special sound effect for anyone who didn't edit their brsar, but someone with access to an ISO, Super Sawndz, and WiiScrubber could go into, and edit the sounds used so that they match up with this Melee aesthetic?

Personally, I'd love to see it return but I doubt it's that big of a deal to anyone else. I am curious, though.

I think it's impossible to do on the hackless version. If there was a way to do it though, I would be all for it. SFX are super important and you would be surprised how many PM'ers wished for Melee style sound effects. It's Axe's number one complaint about PM I believe.

Beyond a matter of aesthetics, sound plays a massive role in providing player feedback, much like the L-cancel flash. A lot of moves would be significantly hard to read if the character remained silent when jumping or starting the move. Hit sounds are similar for quickly recognizing that a move hit.

They changed the sound effect for Mario's first jump right? perhaps character specific sound effects are easier to do than more general ones for hackless/gecko builds.

Custom sounds are not currently possible. You can only use a sound effect that is already in the game. Also, iirc character sfx can only be used that character otherwise the sfx won't play unless that character is in the match. E.g., fox using one of falcon's sfx, that sfx won't play unless cf is in the match

What about Pikachu getting Falco's dair sound for his nair?
