She has a better recovery than Link, Ness, DK, Fox, Falcon and Yoshi... imo its not badShe can't combo nearly as well as anyone else, and her recovery blows.
I can see it argued for Captain Falcon, Fox, & maybe Yoshi, but I disagree with Ness & DK. Both get more distance & are less predictable. She has a better recovery than Link, Ness, DK, Fox, Falcon and Yoshi... imo its not bad
Too bad Ness's recovery has tons landing lag, is impossible to sweetspot consistently and is easily intercepted afterwards.I can see it argued for Captain Falcon, Fox, & maybe Yoshi, but I disagree with Ness & DK. Both get more distance & are less predictable.
you forgot to mention that it has tons of starting lag and is easily intercepted before =)Too bad Ness's recovery has tons landing lag, is impossible to sweetspot consistently and is easily intercepted afterwards.
Ah very true, but sometimes Ness will be waaaay too loo or way far out for a safe interception, which is why I didn't list it. A lot of the time when I recover with him, I try to place my self with the Pk thunder so that it's too risky for someone to come out and hit me (like being way far away from the edge). Most of the time I just let Ness come to me and punish him.you forgot to mention that it has tons of starting lag and is easily intercepted before =)
U are sooo wrong. Samus can recover more distance than the two, plus hes the most unpredictable and his up+b has high priorityI can see it argued for Captain Falcon, Fox, & maybe Yoshi, but I disagree with Ness & DK. Both get more distance & are less predictable.
Samus is a chick.U are sooo wrong. Samus can recover more distance than the two, plus hes the most unpredictable and his up+b has high priority
Cut him some slack he speaks spanish.... So many grammar nazis..... My Brazilian friend is awful with pronouns....Samus is a chick.
Mixing genders has nothing to do with grammar.Cut him some slack he speaks spanish.... So many grammar nazis..... My Brazilian friend is awful with pronouns....
crap I always do this mistake his/herSamus is a chick.
Maybe more vertical distance than DK, but that's about it. Her up-b has about as much vertical height as Captain Falcon's & even less horizontal distance. Other than that, she has her bombs which can only be effectively implemented if she starts recovering from a high point.U are sooo wrong. Samus can recover more distance than the two, plus hes the most unpredictable and his up+b has high priority
Samus is so floaty. he can recovery from a long way back, plus she can use her flame attack to protect herself. And you can do a lot of different recovery moves with her, mixing the flame attack with the bombs, with DK and Ness you can't. I think you don't know how to use her recovery properly.Maybe more vertical distance than DK, but that's about it. Even though her up-b has high priority, it's easy to intercept her before she can use it. Both Ness & DK have (partial) invincibility during their up-bs.
Ness & DK can come back from farther away & are partially invincible during their up-bs. Samus can protect herself with fairs & bombs but she isn't invincible. Like I said, Samus' options are limited if she is hit off at a lower angle while DK & Ness aren't affected as much. Either way, this is a pointless argument that's off topic so I'll just drop it now.Samus is so floaty. he can recovery from a long way back, plus she can use her flame attack to protect herself. Distance is not the only important thing. See this to see why Samus recovery is better than DK and Ness.Ness & DK can come back from farther away & are partially invincible during their up-bs. wrong, samus can come back from farthur, use down b! and your telling me samus' 3rd jump doesnt have as much priority as DK's or Ness???....for shame!Ness & DK can come back from farther away & are partially invincible during their up-bs. If she's starts from higher up. If she gets by Fox's dsmash or something with similar trajectory, she won't be able to use her bombs as much. Ness & DK (partially) are invincible during their up-bs; Samus isn't. I never said hers had less priority.wrong, samus can come back from farthur, use down b! and your telling me samus' 3rd jump doesnt have as much priority as DK's or Ness???....for shame!
Ness is easy as hell to intercept unless he sweetspots, and DK is only invincible in his arms and easy as hell to edgehogIf she's starts from higher up. DKs only inviniable on the sides...try a apike from above and see how invincable he isIf she's starts from higher up. Play online and get your *** rocked. I guarantee someone is better than you with Ness.sorry guys but i am almost certain that 100% of you specialize at brawl or melee. i, however, have been stuck on the classic one forever. i played a couple matches of melee and despised the way the handling changed so drastically, plus i'm a nessy and he sucked balls in melee. so the 64 smash is my specialty, it is the lone video game i play, period. i'm not familiar with yall's terms (tier lists) or whatever because i'm new to this forum. i've stuck strictly to playing the game knowing it back and forth(the only reason i joined is a small hope of maybe finding competition in my area, i have been utterly bored being so stinkin awesome at this game, i don't really care to argue or show videos of random nonsense, IM JUST STARVING FOR COMPETITION ). anyways, from my observation i'm assuming that tier list is basically just ranking the characters, am i right? let me start with saying i can beat probably anyone with any of the given characters because i just know the game so well. but being able to play as any character and still smash regardless, there are still preferences on which make it easier to kick butt. it seems like 75% of the people here think ness is overrated. that would be heard by people that don't quite understand his full potential. since he handles a lot differently than the other characters, you get those complainers that say he is slow in the air and all that random jazz. when actually that is what makes him so favorable to me. to play as ness, your aim, timing and strategic placement has to be spot on. the way he moves in the air actually gives him an advantage. sometimes being quick isn't everything. sometimes gently flowing through the air in awkward directions gives you the perfect defense and offense to disorient opponents. another plus, all his moves have a high damage to them, but once again most of them have to be timed right or you're screwed. if there happens to be anyone on this planet that is as good as me with ness, then my advice to you to have the greatest chance of beating them would be to use Fox. he clashes and counters the best with ness and can be a pest for him. not that a fox has beaten me yet. but they always have been the toughest against ness. but then if i have the option to play kirby or pikachu against him, then it's not much of a problem. so if that is the case this would be mine.

Your first post was so much more epic =(dang people. i seriously wasn't trying to light a fire. wow. you know just cause you spend your whole day on a smash forum posting a hundred times about who knows what doesn't mean you can kick anyone's butt that focuses on only playing the game and just so happens to be new on the forum. but hey, now i know you guys are severely pride-sensitive and everyone thinks they got it. honestly i really just want to have some good fun challenging competition. hey, and i can admit when i'm wrong and so if there is a way that i can hook up a 64 controller and play online and it handles the same, then i'm definitely up for some battles and heck, if i get torn, then so be it, i'll know my place. but if i prove my worth, then i would appreciate if all those ignorant remarks be dismissed.
so lets start fresh...

Indeed. Also, I'd advise not to dismiss what you see in some of the videos of high-level play as nonsense, as it's what you'll have to face - and eventually learn - if you want to compete.
fixedyou know just cause you come here randomly and start talking nonsence doesn't mean you can kick anyone's butt that focuses on only playing the game
