Matchup Chart Project 2015 - Calling Sheik Mains!

Hello Sheik boards,

I'm Zareidriel. Over in this thread a guy called Assassannerr made a matchup chart, and asked people to help fill it out. It seems like it would be a cool thing to have. With once glance you could have a rough idea of a matchup. It won't be perfect, but for our first go at it in 2015 we're aiming for "somewhat functional."

So here's what I'm going to do. Go to every Character Discussion board, and ask the folks there if they wouldn't mind contributing. To submit one vote, you'll have to fill out one of these:

Mark each character with a + for a match where Sheik HAS THE ADVANTAGE
Mark each character with a - for a match where Sheik HAS THE DISADVANTAGE
Mark each character with a number 0 for a match you feel is very even.

NOTE THAT I AM ONLY TAKING VOTES FROM MEMBERS WITH Sheik IN THEIR PROFILE BAR. It can be as either "Wii U Main" or "3DS Main". But if Sheik is in neither one of those slots when I count the votes on Friday, Nov 13, it won't be counted.

(Yes, for the avid democrats out there, that means you can vote for one other character as well.)

Like I said, they won't be perfect, and each board will probably be a little biased toward their own respective character. But the results should be interesting regardless.

If this thing is successful maybe we'll do a revised version in 2016.

The only reason MK mains give to justify them saying Sheik MK mu is either 55:45 for sheik or 50:50 is that she dominates the neutral. That's true, but they never look past anything after that. Sheik can win the neutral 100 times and it won't matter unless she kills, whereas MK can win the neutral a few times and take a stock as a reward. MK also has multiple jumps which means you can't punish his landings with needles as often as other characters, and the multiple jumps allow him to easily go off stage and hang around the ledge outside at stage level so that he could get the 2 frame a lot more easily than other characters thanks to how active his nair is, and he's probably the only character who can chase sheik offstage and punish things like BF with nair. Last but not least, he's practically impossible to edgeguard.

Agreed, playing against good Meta Knights is a nightmare because every time you jump above 20%, you just think "if he reads this, I'm dead" which is super unnerving and (at least for me) forces me into a much more get-in get-out defensive playstyle.
