Matchup Chart Project 2015 - Calling Mr. Game & Watch Mains!

Hello Mr. Game & Watch boards,

I'm Zareidriel. Over in this thread a guy called Assassannerr made a matchup chart, and asked people to help fill it out. It seems like it would be a cool thing to have. With once glance you could have a rough idea of a matchup. It won't be perfect, but for our first go at it in 2015 we're aiming for "somewhat functional."

So here's what I'm going to do. Go to every Character Discussion board, and ask the folks there if they wouldn't mind contributing. To submit one vote, you'll have to fill out one of these:

Mark each character with a - for a match where Mr. Game & Watch HAS THE DISADVANTAGE
Mark each character with a number 0 for a match you feel is very even.

NOTE THAT I AM ONLY TAKING VOTES FROM MEMBERS WITH Mr. Game & Watch IN THEIR PROFILE BAR. It can be as either "Wii U Main" or "3DS Main". But if Mr. Game & Watch is in neither one of those slots when I count the votes on Friday, Nov 13, it won't be counted.

(Yes, for the avid democrats out there, that means you can vote for one other character as well.)

Like I said, they won't be perfect, and each board will probably be a little biased toward their own respective character. But the results should be interesting regardless.

If this thing is successful maybe we'll do a revised version in 2016.

personally I don't think you're going to get accurate results from this, based off what I've seen on the sm4sh boards in general. A lot of questionable opinions are flung around and some people or entire boards are borderline delusional. I also don't think popular vote based data will really cover the differences between, say, a 55-45 MU and a 65-35 MU. It's also probably too early for this.

[MasterChef Doesn't Cook]

This is how I feel. Some of the 0's come from the fact that we have an extreme advantage over them (like comboing the crap out of Bowser) but they also have an extreme advantage over us (He kills us mad early) so while I still hold the matchup is even, it is volatile as all crap, so it will most likely be a 2 stock from either side.

Also I'm probably wrong on a few (or more) of these points, but in my time with the game thus far, here's what I think

Well, this is fun. I'm pretty confident I'll be... 60% on the money! I try to be realistic but I can be a little pessimistic so might balance out any optimists out there.
Some of these advantages are theoretical because the matchup in reality is annoying as all hell...

I will say that, for the record, I, and probably most of the G&Ws as well, are very skeptical of this endeavor.

Most boards will think they have an advantage on G&W. even though they haven't played a good one because he's pretty rare.

And this kind of MU chart is absolutely not going to show differences in matchup severity.

You are not alone, lol, EVERYBODY, myself included, is skeptical of this endeavor.

Matchup severity is a feature I'd like to have in the next version, but I feel like it would complicate things a little too much for our first try.

There's a lot of volatility in several matchups, but the ratio is even - a lot of heavies are even or an advantage for G&W, but it can be very swingy. Some characters I don't feel as strongly about. Those are my thoughts.

I mostly agree, i'm going to do some few changes which will be my list, I'm kind of a nobody in the g&w community, but i do main him, just that the forum kind of seem overly depressive on the character at time, anyway:
