Hey guys!

I did an analytic video for a friend of mine, and so far the response has been fantastic -- enough to convince me to do multiple videos that break down and explain what is going on in high level melee. For now I have just the one, but more will be on the way with help from other players.

Give it a watch & ask me any questions you may have that I can reply to in video (or text) form!

Mango vs Kirby Kaze (Big House 2)
(If the mods want to move this go ahead.)

Very cool video, though in the future you should mute or choose matches without pre-existing commentary for maximum clarity. Overall though, very cool.

Wonderful, I yearned for something like this, even tried to make a crappy example (with nooby advice) of what I pictured and was going to try and add arrows and stuff but I never got the software I wanted to work at the time.

Keep analyzing Mango. There's so many things I want to suggest, the more visible things like his fade away Nairs, to the more subtle arcane things like his double shine to waveland onto platforms as falco but with the timing somewhat delayed : Just so players on all levels get something out of it (fade away Nairs are still something the majority of people watching your videos might not comprehend). Don't try analyzing any of his techrolls though, Hugo said they are done at random c-stick flicking so even he doesn't know his own patterns. Then there's a lot of what Dr.PP mentioned on Peef's SMYMs stream about Mango's ideas, which near the end of the stream Mango went on to commentate his own matches against Armada for a bit.

Oh my god, I hadn't noticed a single thing mentioned in the video before. Like that was really helpful for me. Please do more smash analysis videos PLEASE. That was so fascinating to listen to & watch. There should be like a YouTube channel full of melee analysis videos

kind of interesting that this kind of analysis hasn't really been done before when replay analysis is so prominent and important in other competitive games.

anyways this was really insightful gj.

This was pretty cool. Although I do have a small request that you try to put in subtitles/captions next time. Not to say that the audio was bad or you weren't speaking clearly or anything just that I'm hard of hearing and it makes it hard to understand audio without captions.

Thanks and I hope you continue making these.

The annotations were effective but i think 10 people could do an analysis on 1 video and still have more to talk about!

This is great. I'm happy you found it useful.

Maybe one day there will be many videos like this, melee is super indepth and our community could benefit more from better visual explanations.
