skill comes from tourney experience, just cuz u have tech skill and can beat up on ur friends doesn't mean ur good
how the hell can u try and fault others for overlooking u and ur friends in favor of players they have actually seen play when you are doing the same thing

Indeed. This isn't a request to base it a list off of a single tournament, this is a request that EGL be factored into your considerations. It "ain't right" to leave out an up to date display of skill of someone you may not be entirely familiar with and that may or may not be better than someone you are familiar with either.
You don't have too much to back up the claim that we shouldn't be in it either. Simply going off of who you're familiar with and who you've personally seen at tournaments isn't right. We've been to all kinds of tournaments in past months: MLG NY, multiple ChuDat Biweeklies, CCX, C3, and Bowsertree's biweekly. All we're asking for is proper consideration, and letting EGL pass before the list is set would. The point is that no one should be overlooking players that they haven't seen. The list should wait for EGL to pass before it's set. Sorry if I'm coing off angrily here, but really it's frustrating to be in this position when you have been to tournament after tournament and the people in charge just aren't too familiar with you. I'm not saying I'm better than everyone on the list, I haven't seen too many of them play recently and the all may be much better, but I do want the chance to play at EGL and at least give the people in charge an accurate portrayal of how I play before they count me out.

Dude you guys have seen us play o_O. I played you for like 30 minutes two weekends ago Hova? And I've friendly CK multiple times. And I've been coming to NoVa tournaments for about 4 months now.. And I haven't downed anyone except people I have played. Even chozen will vouch for me because I asked him about several player for the original VA b team list..

that's not totaly true, some people are just naturals and dont need that much experience, they can figure it all out in a few seconds.

As said in there, I'm not trying to put anyone in front of anyone else yet. I think it's unfair to both the players near me and any other players who haven't been seen in a while. I said that in my other post. I'm basing my argument off of the fact that they've been to a bunch of local tournies and I've seen nelo and israphel play against most of the other kids on the B team. JBut just do whatever,, I don't want to argue anymore. o.O I just want peace.CK. You shouldn't finalize a list until after EGL. I have 2 smashers here that are getting to be pretty good and i think they deserve a chance to show ya how they play at EGL or something. And the same for everyone else. I haven't seen a lot of people play in a while. they may have all gotten better too. And don't forget alternates, since you and redd might be in the A team battle instead.

Sorry, How the hell can you put Chozen 1 and Masa on VA's b team. They are like my skill level and I don't deserve to be anywhere close to Va's b team. CK, do you honestly think you should be part of it too, we have many good smashers. there are some people in Sova that are just plain better than half of that B-team.
but it's unrealistic chance that they'll drive up for a crew battle. I'm just saying there are stronger choices for the b team. either way VA should whoop up. whoooo go VA.
Also Nelo, don't take offense to Hova's posts, he's kinda like CK in a sense that they get a kick out of pissing people off. that's right CK, I called you out.

Well, looks like no amount of talking will get EGL into this list, so I'll drop it. 
With that out of the way, I guess there's no point in dragging this along any further, so I'll accept this. I still kinda disagree with the standing list/when it was made, but hey, I look forward to seeing how this all plays out at C3.

Rofl IF i should be on the b team ?! hahahahahah as you can see i made A team alternate just in case some people dont show so that shows where i stand and to honestly think you couldent be on the b team is really taking a beating upon yourself.. there are good sova smashers and i did put them in there if you didnt notice or maybe you dont know some of them ?

IMO, tournament experience leads to skill, and yes, skill is what matters. That being said, it's very difficult to gauge skill without a series of tournament results because just beating random people doesn't display consistency. It doesn't reveal a player's trashy matchups, and it doesn't consider the fact that his opponent might have had a specific trashy matchup versus you, or was having an off day, etc. For instance, I can and have beaten a number of people that I can clearly say are better than me.
In the end, just keep playing, and you'll receive respect in due time.

EGL is probably a bad place to settle this but if chu keeps his schedule, his biweekly on the 27th would be a great time to decide

ok so i really hate to drop a ridiculous bomb on some people, but ive been informed as to how the crew battles actually work. i was under the impression that alternates could be swapped in, in exchange for 4 of a starters stock, if the team captain felt it necessary.
however, ive learned that the purpose of alternates are for 1) when a starter is not present or 2) when there is more than one crew battle, and the crew captain can swap them in strategically, to try and counter the current crew they are playing.
since there are only 2 states participating, there will only be 1 crew battle, thus making option 2 null and void. i know ive spoke with many of you saying that alternates can be subbed in, but i inadvertantly made a mistake and for that i apologize.
i am posting this here because, those that are alternates for the A teams, will only being playing in the crew battle if original members are not present. therefore, they should be able to rock the B team if they so choose. once again, im sorry.
