Does anybody know who would be a good partner for a marth in a team battle?

Every character can be a good teamamte for every other character. I think there is no such a thing as who is the best teamate for this char and etc...
I play Marth myself alot, and team with Falcon, cool combination xD

I would say captain falcon you could set up the opponent then falcon uses his legendary knee.

I'd go with Jigglypuff. If the Jiggs is good she lasts for a long time so you don't have to go out of you're way to check on her. With Marth's amazing grab you can easily get 2-3 easy rests on you're opponent and then just wake the Jiggs with a throw or side B at any percent. She can also go far off the stage and use pound to help you recover and then just rising pound her way back. She can also do some off the stage edgeguarding while you guard the ledge resulting in low percent kills. Overall I think Marth and Jiggs is one of the best team combinations in the game due to their great grab comboes and edgeguarding.

My brother is usually Peach when I'm Marth while we're teaming. Sometimes he'll be Sheik when I'm Marth, although we sorta have either Mart+Peach team or Luigi+Sheik team. Good partners for Marth could be:

Fox (Azen+Chillin)
Peach (Newlyweds)
Falcon (Ken+Isai)

Maybe just pick whatever partner you finds work for you. I just gave you some examples. Just pick whatever you and your partner like.. or

Jigglypuff makes good team. Double marth us just uber fun, but gets confusing with too many swords.

There isn't any particular has to be this way partner for Marth, but I, having switched from Marth to Falco now, love playing with Marths. Falco can combo hardcore for a lot of damage, where a marth with a nice little Fsmash can come in and clean things up, also, Marth's Up-B makes it really easy for falco to laser Marth and help him recover ^_^
