So far my experiance with marth is gradually becoming alot better. But theres a thing that i noticed. When you space Fairs using "A" it tends to be a bit more difficult then when you use the "C stick" to space your fairs. For instance SH->FAIR->FAIR is much easier to space using the "C stick". I find it also much easier to do Bair when doing SH->FAIR->FAIR with the Cstick. My question is, are there any marths out there that use the Cstick as well to do their Fairs and bairs? or is it just me?

Marth vs Snake has been a really hard match up to me. I think that Marths matchup against Snake is a tad difficult. Especially when you SH fairs and he throws his grenades it auto grabs the nades. This makes it really difficult. And how would you guys counter a Snake that just stands there and throws grenades and as soon as u get close he up Smashes (Missle flying thing) and if u do manage to dodge it, and hit him, he'll just shield grab you. How would you guys counter this?

I think the A buttons easier now
but i change the way i play every week -_-
C-stick helps with certain stuff, but i think its easier to hit A.

For snake, i have little help, because i havent played a really good snake that spams 'nades yet.
Try runnin towards snake while doging nades, then sheildbreaker if he tries to SG.
idk though

Ah, the first part of the first post reminds me of back during the Melee days, on the Marth boards.

Snake is very difficult to approach. I would always approach with SH fairs, just outside of his range/barely tipping him...Put Snake in bad positions. For example, on platforms, near the edge of the stage, on jungle japes, on teh side platforms...it makes approaching easier.

first off, i tend to use A with bair and dair off stage...combos nicely with jumping using X or Y and makes things quicker...on stage and i tend to use c stick

Snake's nades are not that difficult its the combing and situations he forces with the nades that can be tricky. I would space myself with fairs and then use a shieldbreaker if he waits to shield grab.

as of right now, until i learn how to approach better, i would just counter pick snake. marth is bad against snake

Directly above you tipping a dair.
Trust me, c-sticking makes a lot of things easier so i use it. This especially comes in handy when spiking people (snake in this case). Knock him offstage and follow him. Make sure your back is turned towards snake before jumping offstage. Use the c-stick to dunk him at the top of your jump (1st jump or 2nd jump). Aim it so that he gets hit with the tip of the backswing. This is easy to do since snakes recovery is easy to hit him out of. After dunking him, be sure to taunt.:)

But the thing is, there are missles coming down from the top cause of his Up -A. Thus if you're using shieldbreaker it takes time to charge and the missles can just hit u.

Don't charge the shieldbreaker. You don't have to. It does one of two things 1) breaks the shield 2) makes the opponent stop shielding. As for the explosives (all of them) don't be afraid to get close then counter them. Even if you take damage, he will too from the counter and his own explosion.

I don't generally charge the shieldbreaker unless i break the shield. its easy to combo into an unsuspecting shieldbreaker and break a worn down shield. (Thank emblem lords post for that).

If you want to know more about approaching snake check out Emblem Lord's match up post.
