Marth's f-smash kill percentages

Tier list of who dies to a tippered uncharged marth foward smash in the middle of final destination with no/little VI. I'll probably do fair kill percentage or u-throw kill percentage later this week. (Which ever one is wanted more.


This was done in training mode, so no fresh move bonus or rage effect.

In conclusion Marth can kill fairly early, but only with a tipper. Actually, Marth's non tippered moves are pretty bad. In melee and project m, I can use non tippers to combo. However, in this game, anything not tippered has terrible knockback/hitstun. Tippered fair sends enemies about twice as far, and non tippered f-smash rarely kills below ~125-150.


Also, Marth's sword completely passes though a lot of characters, (meta knight also has this problem). It's like the opposite of melee, where Marth's sword hitbox was slightly bigger. I had the sword trail pass though yoshi's snout, and had a bunch of times where I saw the sword itself pass though harmlessly.

I did pikachu up throw kill percent it is 159

Really not even worth going for it on light characters.lol

Eh, grab kill options are pretty important to us, the immediate response to what we do is shielding, and we're the type of character who can maintain an advantage/momentum in their favour long enough to just play commitment-avoidance until, in some cases, up throw is how you'll end them.

Like, if you do not need to search for the kill and can then rely on a 7 frame OoS option to finish them, it's pretty important. In brawl we kinda had dolphin slash for that, but that move will not kill anyone or anything in this game, ever (as a 5 frame option), so literally our fastest kill option is grab, in neutral and out of shield.

Also is that 159, with DI while you're at 0% (or is it training mode?).
Rage amplifies the throw effects, and it's a shame that rage is probably essential to having up throw kill at a "reasonable threshold".

I made sure I wasn't in rage. I set myself and cpu to 90 then worked the cpu dummy up to 159 then up threw it

Marth up throw kills (no rage list, tested on CPU in training mode, tested on omega stages)

Mario: 179%
Luigi: 177%
Peach: 168%
Bowser: 196%
Rosalina: 154%
Bowser jr: 194%

Here are a few more for the up thrown list.
(No rage, Omega Prism Tower, up throw kill percents)

Game and Watch: 150%
Donkey kong: 214% (note: donkey kong was also killed at 209%-213%, but these proved to be inconsistent)
Diddy kong: 181%
Link: 189%
Zelda: 169%
Shiek: 171% (note: that Shiek was also killed at 169% as well as 170%, but these proved slightly inconsistent)

Honestly, it's something I think we need 100% rage tested with it. It's when you're afraid of opponent's kill moves when something like up throw becomes most helpful, it's unfortunately proving to be pretty mediocre as a revenge killer :<

I'll do those after I'm finished with up throws kills without rage. Honestly all I need to do for that is go in and check like two characters. The percentage difference spread will be the same across the board.

So if mario and luigi die like 10% earlier then we know that all our up throws kill 10% sooner with rage.

This just in, in breaking up throw + rage news. Rage does not alter up throw kill percentages. I repeat, does not alter up throw kill percentages!
