Since I can't find an in-depth explanation on how to do it, I'd like an explanation, starting from a 0% grab, the steps to Marth's near-0% to death on Spacies. I need information, such as What percentage I can safely throw in grab attacks, and what to do if they DI up and try to shine out of the CG at 21%. There's only so much one can learn practicing on computers.

At zero percent, fthrow then dash forward, jump cancel grab, uthrow. Chaingrab, turning whenever necessary. At 21% to about 29%, you'll have to pivot grab to avoid the shine if they don't DI. At 30% and higher, you can utilt to grab. At 60% or so, you can fsmash tipper if they DI away. If they don't, you can utilt/uair into a fsmash or regrab.

So yeah. The timing is different between Falco and Fox, I'd suggest you practice both.

Because they land on the ground during the F-Throw, they can either shine, or Jab me. Shouldn't I just do ONLY U-Throws?

In general tho near the ledge I would always fthrow (toward or off the ledge). Maybe after one of two up throws. Good foxes won't DI fully when they are trying to escape CGing they will either not DI or slight DI.

This means you can fthrow to dtilt them off and get a good gimp opportunity.

The fthrow thing is pretty certain. A lot of pros do it, and I'm pretty sure Taj told me that you can't break out of it, at a low enough percentage, anyway.

F throw regrab only works if they don't DI into you. I still do it a lot though. It's better on Falco.

Main reason why it's better on Falco is because Marth CANNOT up throw regrab Falco at 0% if Falco DI's behind him, so the forward throw is necessary in that instance (depending on DI of course). I prefer at 0% just throwing them at the edge (F throw or Down throw depends situation) into down tilt then react to what they do with regrab.

Against Fox, always up throw (I have bad habit of F throwing at 0 sometimes though) as there is no reason to F throw unless you F throw down tilt near the edge.

These are the %s you can up throw regrab Fox and Falco without needing to move

for... (first number is fox, parenthesis is falco)
Forward DI - 0-16 (Falco is similar to this forget exact number)
No DI - 0-20 (Falco is 25)
Back DI - 0-28 (Falco is 31)

hope this helps people get started

when you say pivot grab to avoid the shine, do you mean where you dash away and turn around JCgrab? I'm also trying to work on this
