I believe it is somewhat stage dependent. I do this match A LOT and I've noticed that stages with platforms are a double-edged sword(no pun intended) as yes, you can tipper fsmash through battlefield and YS plats, but if you are under a platform that Falco is on, a fall-through dair from him will go through anything you try to do. So, in essence, you try for a fsmash, Falco dodges, falls through and you get hit, or you shield and he shines. And that's not even just plats. If falco comes down with a dair at any point and you utilt you end up either trading blows or getting hit. This is just an observation and I realize WD-Back fsmash remedies this problem somewhat as well as Shffl uairs.

Platforms also ruin chain-grabs. Although you can follow up a platform tech with anything you want, this still poses a problem for easy KOs such as uthrow-uthrow-uthrow-utilt-uthrow-uthrow-utilt-tipper fsmash.

But on the up-side, platforms are helpful for avoiding lasers. Look at it however you want, but when I fight Falco I usually still counter-pick BF.

no man u tilt ****s up falco's dair any day.

f smash definitely goes through it too. marth's range is gay man.

yes platforms can prevent a chain grab, but you can neutral waveland on to the platform right next to them and shield.

this matchup is so good for marth it's not even funny.

it's evidence because cort beat the hell out of pc on a stage with platforms, and if you watch carefully, he didn't chaingrab AT ALL.

This is not evidence. PC and Cort have play each other too frequently for their matches to be as character dependent as usual. PC has destroyed Cort's Marth and vice versa. One video proves nothing, even if they are pros.

I personally think the matchup is even, but overall tournament statistics show that Marth has a slight advantage to advantage on most stages.
