Marth - Utilizing Pivot Dash

Well, if you don't know, the pivot dash is when you hold in (A) then dash and C-stick in a different direction than the one you are dashing in.

Marth can run past his opponent in a pivot dash and instantly turn around mid dash and fsmash. (The Fsmash forcefully turns marth around)

If this was tried without pivot dashing, you would've just done a dash attack.

This obviously was on training mode and I have not gotten a chance to test this on real players, but do you think this could be of any real practical use or would the danger of getting too close to an enemy or the danger of excessive tripping be too big of a risk to take?

No, it looks like Dash Dancing though, but it's different.

Okay, well I saw the video on youtube and it said pivot dashing and it was the recurring dash over and over again with the extreme amount of trips and the doop walking was the one wherre 45 degree angle, marth goes really fast and anything can be done out of it. I looked up foxtrotting with falco and got the recurring dash again. I am now really confused

Okay, thank you, I am going to try to get good at it, but still the trips are annoying and, you turn arround if you don't change direction while standing straight up, then halt.
