So, who is married in here?

How long?

Any kids?

How does this work with your smashing?

GO!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'll start. I'm married to the one and only The Buzz Saw (Buzz) here on Smashboards. We've been married for a year (Dec. 29th), we love it! No kids yet, but we're hoping soon we'll have a family.
We still smash, though not as much traveling to tournaments. I've been to 3 tournaments, he's been to... a lot. :laugh:
We both main Young Link.
I married in the sun
(tell me where tell me where)
Against the stone of buildings built before
You and I were born
(start again start again)
And to my heart confusion rose against
The muscles fought so long
(fought so long)
To control against the rule of
One magnet to another magnet
To another magnet
Now we look up in
(tell me who tell me who)
To the hours of bodies breaking past
They seem so very tough
(it's a lie it's a lie)
They seem so very scared of us
I look into the mirror
(look into)
For evil that just does not exist
I don't see what they see
(tell them that tell them that)
Try to control the rule of one magnet
To another magnet
To another magnet
To another magnet
To another
Dude, I'm 19. If I marry anyone now, we'll have a divorce before the month is over. But I am curious to know if there are any other married couple on these boards...
I hope to be married one day. My cousin who is in a situation simmilar to mine just got married, and I'm somewhat envious... Lets just say it'd be a lot easier if the state I lived in would allow it... <_<; I really hope I don't get flamed... :/
I'll just out and say it... I know not everyone agrees with it, and I humbly ask for your tolerance if you don't. I am a male, in a long standing relationship with another male. Wel love each other, though as I posted in the relationship topic are going through a difficult time at the moment. I'd wait till we were both out of college to ask... but *sigh*...
Not to mention the general religious views... I'm christian (please don't ask me how this works, I don't like discussing it as I tend to get pretty emotional about it. Suffice to say: I have read the Bible, researched it, and interpret it differently than alot of people.), and he's aetheist.
It's really frightening coming out in a place like this... There have been a few topics in which my sexuallity has come up, and not a one time has it ever ended positively...
I REALLY interpreted that as you saying you wanted to marry your cousin. Then I read the second paragraph. I was quite relieved it wasn't something odd.
I'm 12 so theres no chance of me getting married any time soon. Darkfur I hope everything works out and I certainly won't judge you any differently for your sexuality. I am curious though to see who else is married on these boards.
Hahaha.
I had a dream I was getting married last night o.0 It was weird.
I don't plan on actually being married for probably another couple years, but I believe the guy I'm with now will be the one I do marry =)
Oops, I really should have worded that better. XD In my defense it was around three of four in the morning.
Darkfur, your post is mindgames.
*laugh* sorry about that, now if only I could use those better in Smash. *laugh*
Thanks for your support, and to everyone in here that is married, I wish you all many happy years.
Oh, and Question to SP. If it's not prying, How many kids are you hoping for? Boys or Girls or a mix?
And, of course... Going to teach them to Smash when they are old enough to hold a controller? =p
We're hoping for 4. 2 boys, 2 girls. And oh yah, they are going to smash. With Buzz as their daddy, they'll totally smash.
Ha, I tried this thread before. Congratulations sugarpoulty and Buzz!
I'm married to my wife, Mrs. Stunna. Our one year anniversary was on the 21st, and we're taking the weekend to celebrate. We have a son named Gabriel, and he will be six months old on January 5th. And yes, he already Smashes:
My wife is the most supportive person I've ever met, and she encourages me to go to tournaments. We train together all the times, and once Gabriel gets a little bigger, she'll be going to more tourneys with me.
@Jam Stunna: Oh thats great!! Yeah we're hoping to be parents soon. And apparently there are both supportive and unsupportive of smashers. At first I didn't want to learn or do anything with Smash, but after a while I got bored and I sat down and said, "That's it, teach me how to play this thing." Heh.
It's so cool that our anniversary's are so close. :)
But yeah, our kids are going to be apart of it if they want to. BTW, your son is adorable!!! We'll have to steal your idea of a picture with the GameCube. Or, the Wiimotes, like our wedding pictures. Mwaha! http://img84.imageshack.us/img84/194/100b0292ck1.jpg
I'm only 18 myself, and I thought I had the right girl but it turned out to be one of those "it's not going to work, so end it now before someone gets hurt" sort of things. I do know the Bahumuts are married, and there is a couple in the Atlantic South who recently had a kid (they made a post about it.)
Congrats to all of you and I wish you well :D
nuh uh! Its a Gabe, not a Gabby!
i think by "she", he meant Mrs. Stunna. It doesn't matter though, because we're all moving out west to get married and live in a giant marble house.
edit: boo at Eor's quickposting. if this were the wild west, i'd be dead and he would be the tom-slayer.
aww :] i am too.
gay, i mean.
anyways what i always think about when relationships get rocky is "never hint toward wanting out, always be calm, and always state that you would rather throw away the argument and move on in the relationship". and always make sure you're physically close with him after arguments; sex is the glue that holds two hearts together.
i hope you're with him forever! :)
Haha, that is the best wedding picture ever. You guys should move out to Utah and join our super-family. So far it's me, Mrs. Stunna, Tom, Virg and Scav!
OH SNAPS! I totally didn't even notice the son part. I was wondering why he didn't spell it Gabrielle.
Seriously if there is anyone here that has a problem with homosexuality I will be surprised. The majority of people here are college students and we tend to be pretty accepting :)
I agree with that sex thing though. No matter what your into, sex is a VITAL part of a relationship. Never let anyone tell you otherwise.
Yes. I know quite a few homophobic people who just despise anything gay, even lesbians. I can understand guys being weirded out by gay guys, but I never thought men would find lesbians unattractive. It was shocking.
We might move to Utah one day. We'll see. ;)
Buzz and I are both in college and we're married. It's not as bad as people think. ;)
Definitely not for me, though. I rather have a career before I have to worry about the potential children. I've been with the same girl for 4 years, so that's not the issue. I just rather have a stable life first. More power to you though.
:laugh: Hahahaha o.O wtf?!! Hahahaha :laugh:
I came close to being married sometime earlier months back (4-??-07) this year. This broad, right, wanted a sugar-daddy for herself nor a supportive husband for her children to encourage them that everyday they DO indeed HAVE the mind, gift, and the potential to handle school. ANYTHING! So said f--k it and went seperate ways.
Yeah-yeah, well congrats to those successful in keeping a strong relationship together and in a way do envy that, regardless, but single life isn't a drawback either. :laugh:
Um..... can you say hypocrite? O_O
But I agree. If you aren't married, I don't think anyone should be posting. This is kind of a married only thread. Heh. But whatever.
And this thread doesn't need to be closed...
Bailey has a point. The average user is around 16 years old and they shouldn't even be thinking of marriage. I'll leave this open as long as we don't get anymore spam posts, but if we have a few more "I'm too young for marriage" posts, then it's done, son.
