$10 Entry Fee

The pot will be split as followed:

1st-60%
2nd-30%
3rd-10%

Singles Only, If there's time for teams will be doing that as well

Neutral Levels : Battlefield, FD, Lylat Cruise, Smashville, New Yoshi's Island, Pokemon Stadium (Melee)

Counterpick : Corneria, Delfino Plaza, Bridge of Elden, Luigi's Mansion, Shadow Moses Island, Skyworld, Castle Siege, Green Greens

Every other level is banned

Luigi's Mansion: Has destructible building which in the case they are not destroyed you can have stalled matches and easily tech up to 300% on the temple walls. Not to mention you can camp the left and right sides of the map and be 100% safe from any projectiles you also have the ability to tech on the 1st level ceilings like I said before for 300+%...This is a horrible tournament level.

Shadow Moses Island: Also has destructible buildings anyone can camp the walls and easily tech for 200-300% unless you get killed upwards. This level also allows DDD to infinite CG, which should instantly warrant a ban.

Skyworld: Again has temple pit like walls allowing you to tech insane %'s you also get gay'd on recovery if the platforms are destroyed due to having no edge to hang on to.

All three of those levels are horrible for competitive tournaments. Your counter pick stages should look like this.

Brinstar (Melee)
Green Greens (Melee)

All of those are good levels, for the most part that do not drastically interfere with game play. Most of those were allowed in Melee. You also NEED to use standard tournament rules.

- 3 stock (for Brawl)
- 7 Minutes
- No items
- If both players agree any level may be picked.
- Players can opt for double blind pick
- Each person gets one random reset
- Double elimination (sets 2/3 - 3/5 - 47 for final rounds)
- Dave's stupid rule: Stages that have already been played during the set can no longer be picked.
- Slob picks: The loser of the first match (and of successive matches) chooses the next stage, then the winner chooses his character, then the loser chooses his character.
- The first match is played with a random neutral stage. Players are allowed to strike one COUNTER PICK stage.
- Suicide techniques that cause both opponents to die at the same time resulting in a sudden death will be played out.
- If time runs out the person with the most stock wins the match by default. In the case that time runs out and both characters have an equal amount of lives, the character with less damage wins the match. If both characters have equal lives and damage, Sudden Death will determine the winner.

Hit Canceling? you mean when he dash attacks and instantly upsmashes? Pretty sure thats just IASA frames (Interruptible As Soon As.) I know Snake has IASA frames on his dash attack like Falcos, you can dash attack instantly upsmash and do like a super wavedash upsmash sortathing....Marths Dtilt also have IASA frames. Thats all I really know atm though.

Sorry but I'm gonna have to agree with C on the counter pick stages for Brawl and the reason for not keeping the other counter picks in EXCEPT Shadow Moses Island. There's an easy solution for not banning that stage and that is banning DDD denying him from being played on that stage due to the fact that he can chain grab infinitely. Other than that, I see no other reason why it should be banned. And yes, I'm well aware that you can tech off the walls but it takes skill as well to tech at even higher percentages since using Ukemi (teching) at higher percentages gets much more difficult.

Yeah no one is saying you are not...lol I'm grateful for the tourneys u've hosted.
But I'm sure other people could host tournaments if they weren't lazy, I'm sure I could go to Traders planet say "hey when can I use ur place" and set up a tournament WITH legit rules, levels etc but again I'm to lazy....its not that hard really. Actually its really easy, just takes some time out of your day.

Money is not an option for me lol even if it was 40$ entry fee if I wanted to enter I would enter...its just that when Betty said it opens at 3:30 or whatever and closes at 7....paying money when the tournament wont even finish is foolish....but he just posted it opens at 1 so thats fine.

My character right now is Lucario/Pit.
I'm thinking of moving to Zelda, but I like Lucario's style. Too bad he seems a little weak, but whatever ;o

Also, if possible, I'm wondering if you can support the Alice Regionals Tournament thats happen at the last Saturday of March (the 29th).
Brawl will be involved, and may show quiet a bit of people. People are always interested in the new games ;o

Each of your steps involve more work than you know. Why? Betty lives under a very spacious rock playing CoD 4 and Final Fantasy XI.

I guess you can if you have an extremely excessive amount of time, but until someone who has actually ran something says otherwise, all you not hosts can stfu.

You say you "ran" that Street Fighter tournament? No, Joe pretty much did, and it was made of only 8 people we all know and play all the time. Because of that it would have run itself. Winning that doesn't even mean ****, especially since you almost lost to SOS who played the game for only a short period of time. Even SOS will admit running SOS Sucks 1-4 was tough, and he barely put any effort into it (Hell I did the brackets for the first two).

Only tournaments I've known you to win is Yugi-oh, which may I remind you is a children's card game. Hell, all CCGs are just money sponges, they make you spend over a hundred bucks just to come close to a tournament caliber deck.

You're not "pro" at Street Fighter, you've never won anything even slightly major for any fighting game. You talk **** even after you get wrecked.

I could continue to go on and on, but I'm tired of typing. If you really want to beat my *** at Street Fighter, bring your stick and PS2 to TP and we'll do it, Elena vs Yun.
