First let me say I'm so sorry if this is in the wrong area, but this seemed correct.

Let me tell you my problem: I had a 270 hour Final Fantasy XII file with everything done but 14 monsters to slay for Beastiary and I needed to make the Black Hole Quickening chain. I had two sets of Grand Armor, Danjuro, all legit. And I accidentally had my ps2 shut off during save and lost everything I worked for.

I have decided it would not be cheating to get a good gamesave of this game, since I've basically completed it. I do not see it as cheating, though morals are not why I've come here. I can access a AR and USB Flash to get this done in a few weeks, but I'd rather find a free way to do it.

Is it possible to get a gamesave burned to a CD-R and read by a PS2 to obtain Game Save on Memory Card.

I know you can with Modded Ps2s and some program, but that costs money.

I need a free method to do this, if there is one. I don't mind modding my ps2 if it is free, but I need directions. I'm more or less aiming for a way to get a gamesave disc copied onto memory card for free.

Hoping someone can help me, thanks in advance.

codebreaker i believe lets you backup game saves to a usb drive and vice versa. Only problem would be finding a copy of it since you don't have a modded ps2. Depending on what ps2 you have, there are very easy ways you can boot backups (OF GAMES YOU ALREADY HAVE OF COURSE).

^ Doesn't AR allow you to do that with a non-modded ps2? From what I read, you can take Game Sames onto usb port on ps2 to "uncrush" them to memory card, vica versa (So You can transfer game saves AND back up games on usb) or no?

^ Yeah, but do I need a modded ps2 for this? I think a normal ps2 will work.

there's a compatibility list somewhere on the net. Chances are it'll work with older flash drives if you can find one. ones that are like under 1 gb
