Here's some stuff I made... It would've been Link facing him if I had it fixed to my specifications.
Also, it took FOREVER to find a picture of him pointing. Otherwise, you couldn't tell it was him.

SchAlternate made/found it for me after I made a very, very poor one on paint.
P.S.: I'm still planning that Layton moveset. I'm toying around with what his Down B should be. When I solve that puzzle, I'll slap down some pictures and illustrate it.

Now this is a character I can get behind. Incredibly iconic, represents a well-known but so far ignored section of the Zelda series, and a fan favorite with an enduring legacy. Technically ineligible, though, since he hasn't appeared on a Nintendo console. But what the hell; if there can be threads for freaking Wreck-it-Ralph and Mickey Mouse, I can stomach this. And it tastes good.
So, a Koridai stage, right? He's gotta bring a Koridai stage with him. His Assist Trophy can be the real Toon Link.
Also, bring back taunt canceling so I can rapidly spam this:

The suggestion of "Scrub all the floors in Hyrule" trumps all other victory lines. But "MAH BOI" and his laugh would be taunts.
The real Toon Link that screams about bombing dodongos?

Stage entry: King Harkinian's ship sails onto the stage, and he walks out, his steps make a loud noise.
Up Taunt: Drinks Wine
Neutral Taunt: Says his Iconic phrase: Mah boi!
Down Taunt: Laughs in his Iconic way.
Victory 1: "After you scrub all the floors in Hyrule, then we can talk about mercy!"
Victory 2: Sits at table, eating dinner.
Victory 3: "The Triforce of courage did protect me!"
Loss: Claps with a bitter look on his face.

A Koridai stage? Okay then, I suggest Harlequin Bazaar.
When you first enter the level it seems to be a normal bazaar - shops, pubs, auctions... but after you travel past all the shops you'll be greeted with strange looking mouth painted on a wall. You can enter it and you'll emerge on the other side, here:
This appears to be a strange mural of Harlequin, the pig owner of a casino who turns civilians into Goriyas when they run out of money to pay their gambling debts. The stage would just be this interior area. This area is very unique and original in appearance and with the creepy statue evokes a dark feeling in what is otherwise a very light-hearted game. It is also very well drawn as all areas are in the game (unlike the cutscenes).

They are both named King Harkinian, yes. But are they the same character? The answer is NO. Just as all Links and all Zeldas are different, this fellow is a different man than the CD-I King. I'm pretty sure comparing their respective pictures can show you the truth. They bare similarities, but they are definitely different characters.
And really... their design isn't all that different from this guy, either:

Question, does anyone know the voice actor for this guy? We'd all love for him to be included, but I wouldn't want our beloved king in spewing dialogue in the voice of some imposter.
