mad-town weekly smashfests, starts july 7.

so theres been a lack of decent action in wisconsin for a while. everyone who wants to play smash should either pm me or cwolf. i dont get to a computer much anymore though, but i can give you my cell number if you pm me.

we have plenty of room, we just need setups every time. also there is places for people to crash. as long as you showered that day. plus we can get some booze if anyone wants to party.

Update: Chansen has internet now! so i will be able to post more often and take pms as well, if you want to get in contact with me about the bi-weeklies (thanks for posting that cwolf) you can pm me or call at 920-850-6363. if i dont answer leave a message and ill get to it eventually.

Also my roomate came back from europe, he doesnt use the boards that much but he plays a decent marth.

I'd like for more people to come, and you can always assume that we need another setup. So get all the scrubs you know together and bring em'!

chansen would be the one to talk to about that. I would love to have consistent play when fall rolls around, but I don't know what Chris' situation as far as the fall goes.

No I'm still in Waukesha. I just helped a friend move into his condo (off of University drive) so I was in the area. I'm down on Saturday, I just want to plan it out so I can meet up with my buddy and hit up the town post-smash. I'll let you guys know for sure tomorrow if me and my friend can make it.

I'm getting a couple cases of corona today and we're probably going to grill out either today, or tomorrow or both. so bring some buns, or some beers or somethin. So we'll be well fed during smash

Good smashin with you guys. Think I should main C.falcon? I'll try to up my game a little. Also, any other tips on improving my game from what you saw?

You were kinda systematic in your play, specifically techs and get up moves. This is something that just comes with time. I still suck at it.

Your tech and ability to play many different characters was quite impressive. I liked your C. Falcon the best overall, but your Falco was reasonably slick as well. I do fairly well against Falco with Fox and you took a game off me in a best of 3.

I'm thinking:

Captain Falcon Main (play him against everyone except Shiek, and maybe Fox and Falco) and...
Falco 2nd (against Shiek and whoever else may be giving your Falcon problems)

By the way: I wish I could have been there for the DK dittos. For some reason he is really fun to play.

Thanks for the feedback. I just picked up Falco a few weeks ago and I normally can pull off much more impressive combos, but it's a lot harder against you guys It's amazing how much better just that one session of playing against someone else has made me. I know I made it seem like the guy I smash with isn't that good, but he puts up some great matches a lot of the time, and he had a real hard time tonight (lots of 3 and 4 stocks) because I changed up my obviousness. hope to smash again soon, especially dk dittos.

Oddgloat, you should definately main falcon or falco just for tier power. Your mario brothers are amazing too, but they get destroyed by top tiers.

Also, I'm thinking about having a fest at my place for the 4th. I originally wanted to do a tournament, but its too small for 16+ people. We can always do a smaller tourney if people are interested.
