Alright, we had some time to record yesterday so we got a couple matches done. Before you watch them though, read this:

If you're going to comment, please tell us something useful, that will help us get better. Telling us that we missed techs or l cancels or that I shot lasers the wrong way won't help us get better, because we obviously need to practice those anyway. I just mean a general picture of our playing, and what we can do to improve. If you don't want to watch past the first 30 seconds of the match, please don't comment.

Flamers: we haven't done anything bad, so go away.

Anyway, here they are:

Jeffman(Ganon) vs. me (Sheik)
Jeffman (Ganon) vs. me (Fox)

I don't really play Ganon.... so I'll critique the fox
Grmo-Your fox is very good tech. wise. But you don't grab that much. You also overpursure(attack) a lot. Sometimes, when you play fox, you need to chill and wait fvor him to open an oppurtunity for you to attack. Instead, you opened the oppurtunies to attack, and win, as he did. Try and grab more, and less attacking, and more defensive
just my 2 cents

thats awesome advice. you're right, i rushed in a lot. I was trying to pressure him with lots of attacks, and there were chances where i could have grabbed him a lot, and i was punished for both mistakes. i'll work on that. thanks :).

With Fox, lasers aren't used to much for approaching then for forcing them to approach you. Don't always use shffl'd nair/dair for approach; since the Ganon spends quite a bit of time in his shield, just simply run up and grab him for an easy uthrow to uair. Also, when you do land a shine, be sure to either WD into a grab to a usmash, or at least take advantage of the stun time before they can shield/roll/etc.

Beginning of the match was not so great gameplay on your part. Ganon really shouldn't have lived that long, as when he gets to 130-140 or so, just a simple nair/bair will knock him off, for simple edgeguarding. Usmash works too, you should use that more :p Don't just shffl random drillshines if you're not going do anything out of it, since Ganon can just sh bair out of his shield and hit you if you're not fast enough.

Ganon needs to abuse throws and techchasing more. A lot more. And don't roll so much, you roll around Grmo quite a bit when he starts pressuring you with nairs, and he could've gotten a lot of free grabs. Don't always approach with nair and fair, (nair isn't really that great, should be used sparsely), and go for grabs with wavelands/wavedashes to mix it up. Dtilt is useful, and you should just abuse Ganon's dthrow, and there's lots of things to do to tech-chase: dsmash, uair, dair, fair, bair, forward b, down b, or regrab. And spam uair. It's good XD

Yeah I forgot to mention the Waveshine part
abuse it whenever u land a shine
IF you land a shine on ganondorf, there is three options, another shine, a grab, or a usmash. Most of the times, ganons dont DI the wavehinse the first time, giving you a perfect oppourtunity for the second wavehine. The second time, end the wavehisne combo with either a grab or a usmash, or a another shine if you're feeling lucky

Yeah, Ganons hate grabs lol. It's just that the Ganon I play with has the most random DI, so I can't really rely on just straight waveshining =/
