Love Interests In SSE

As Sakurai stated SSE will not be overwrought with story line but he did say there would be character development...

In games love interest relationships are sometimes hinted (like mario and peach) but never explored in depth. There is always the possibilty that Sakurai could further explore the relationships between charcters.

What about Popo and Nana for instance? What kind of feelings will these two charcters show for each other? Will Meta-Knight joining the team provide a new dynamic between this frosty duo? Will Nana become infatuated with him leading to feelings of jealousy and anger pent up inside Popo which leads to a huge argument between the two and their eventual break-up? Only later to be reconciled in the face of a terrible danger?

Anyway... do you think this will be explored and what characters would you like to see?

Really I think its the kind of thing that a game like this will try to avoid.

This will never happen. Character development in love life at least, won't be touched. Maybe some old characters will have some development in MUCH different ways, but no, NO WAY is there going to be a love story going on. Brawl would be messed up if that happened.

Personally, I don't see anything more going on besides allying together to stop the Subspace Army, although potential friendships will be formed.

Maybe when Mario rescues Peach or something, she'll give him a kiss on the nose or cheek like always, but that's about as close into love as you'll get for a game like Smash Bros.

But then in Super Paper Mario Bowser and Peach got married, and their relationship did have development there whether Peach and the fandom is in denial or not.

If Samus gets paired with anyone, I'd rather it be with Zelda Ike (not necessarily romantic, but I think they'd be a pretty awesome SE pair either way)

That said, I doubt we'll see anything regarding romances except maybe ones that originate in other series (Mario+Peach, Link+Zelda, and that's it really).

Though I've no doubt the fandom will make many pairings after the game comes out (and I get the feeling Pit will be made the bicycle for these fanpairings)
