Looking for PC game recommendations

My preference in games are:

Roguelikes
Dungeon Crawler
Retro FPS such as Doom, Marathon, Dark Forces/Jedi Knight
Shooters (Gradius/R-Type clones, Danmaku, Rail shooters, Contra/Metal Slug Clones)
Beat'Em'Ups
Phantasy Star Online/Diablo-like games
Armored Core franchise

and do you consider RTS like Starcraft/Supreme Commander as part of the MOBA? Since they do have similarities.

Thief series, Dark Souls, Ragnarok Battle Offline, Touhou danmaku, Jamestown, Phantasy Star Online 2 (released in NA early next year, but JPN version is open to NA)

Play Hatoful Boyfriend. Um, I dunno. S.T.A.L.K.E.R., Deus Ex, Fallout 2, System Shock 2, Dead Space, Psychonauts, FEAR, Killing Floor, Sam & Max, Monkey Island, Mechwarrior, Thief, Yume Nikki, XCOM.

If all else fails, there's a bunch of free indie games to try, mostly horror games these days though.

I'm not sure if it's up your alley, but I HIGHLY recommend the Mass Effect trilogy. If you're a fan of great story telling, fantastic dialogue and awesome characters, then you should give them a try.

Another games you should try out are: Beyond good and evil, Psychonauts, Mark of the ninja.

i actually don't like story-driven games at all.

I grew up playing Sam & Max, Monkey Island, Mechwarrior, and I've played Yume Nikki recently.

I don't really like FPSRPGs either.

My favorite games seem to be were I do repetitive mind numbing tasks over and over throughout days and finally feel like I've accomplished something when I achieve my goal. Only to immediately move onto the next task

Harvest Moon, Minecraft Survival, Early Final Fantasies, Pokemon, World of Warcraft, etc.

It's not genre limited

That and platformers

For games I actually have played, I'd recommend Bastion for RPGs and VVVVVV for platformers.

Hexen was a great little FPS back in the day.
It probably won't hold up well today, but it's definitely retro.
And I second VVVVVV, that games fun.

I saw that you like Armored Core, so I thought you may like the new game Hawken. It is technically a shooter with giant mechs, but it has been a blast to play. It JUST went open beta, so a lot of it is missing, but this game has a lot of potential.
