Wouldnt having her primary weapon be an item mean that she isn't gonna be playable?

Well, Ness used a baseball bat, which was available as an item in Melee. The same goes for Samus' Morph Ball. I can see how some people think this counts against Lip, but I think she still has as good a chance of appearing now as I did before the weapon was revealed.

Edit: As soon as I unlocked item switch I turned off everything except for explosives, pokeballs, and home run bats. Then soon after I turned everything off. I have no idea what Items are anymore.
