:confused:when i play SSBM i always use link. I think he is a great powerful charicter, but my firends think im being cheap every time i use his up B . So i was wonderig what u guys think. Are they just saying that because they there bad at SSBM, or is it true, links up B is cheap. Please comment.

In case you hadn't noticed you accidentally posted your topic twice. But no, his up B isn't cheap, if they think it's cheap it's because they keep letting you hit them with it. Of course, someone just standing around spamming it gets really annoying, if only for the repetitive noise...

My best friend mains Link, though he rarely uses the spin slash, relying far more heavily on the boomerang, bow, and bombs to combo me to hell and back. To which I retaliate by consistently winning anyway.

Well, it is cheap, but that is another word for doing something efficiently.

Plus, they should find ways to get around it. It's not that hard to block, counter, etc.

I logged on for the first time in 3 weeks to say your friend is a total and utter noob, and should go and die in a hole somewhere.

No, it really isn't. He used to use it regularly when I came on the approach, he's since replaced that with the hookshot when I started to defend against the spin slash, which is a lot more problematic for the player on the other end of the hookshot by comparison. Link's completely vulnerable when doing a grounded spin slash if the opponent just thinks about what they're doing -- if you really want to help your friends out, try suggesting they wait a bit, then jump and hit you from above as you come out of the spin slash, while you're helpless at the end of it.

In my opinion, I think his UB attack is quite weak. It is very simple to dodge & counter it.

cheap is a term that is only relative to the person stating it. The reality is that no, it is not cheap, because if you classify any single thing cheap, you quickly need to expand on that and apply the same logic to other moves. So, links down b is cheap, peachs Down A, Fox's down B, Falcon's Knee, Sheiks tilts, you quickly start an ever expanding list.
