Last hit of Dancing Blade spikes

In a friendly I was at Pokemon Stadium on the edge of a platform using dancing blade, and my opponent tried jumping into it. He ran into the last hit for the regular dancing blade which sent him down as if it were a spike.

Can someone test this out? I would have saved the video except the match was longer than 3 minutes. It may have been something else honestly I was sandbagging at that point and wasn't fully concentrated on what was happening.

Either way this is pretty useless as the timing is ridiculously hard and I can't imagine the hitbox for it being very big, but it's still funny to do.

And it still does...just nowhere as spiky as it is in Melee. I remember seeing a video of Marth using the third strike of the DB and sort of spikes Ike

But last hit spike is something unheard of.

yea that was my video, the spike box is MASSIVELY tiny and right next to marth and it has terrible spiking speed... but as for the fourth dancing blade spike did it send them straight down or at an angle? because if you're on the ledge and you hit with the near end of the strike it actually sends them backwards, so it might have just crashed them into the platform.

I didn't know the third hit still spiked. Huh. I don't think it's useful, though. It was already difficult to use in Melee and now it seems to be practically impossible and impractical.
