Yeah, melee corneria with Kirby. Basically the same situation in the vid in the original post. It was a b-air at 0:36 and a n-air at 0:06 so it definitely happens with those 2 attacks.

Basically it should sometimes cancel all lag when you land even if it's definitely way too early to be an autocancel (like in the video). If you get it to work a decent amount of the time, also try it on a different stage and if it doesn't work at all elsewhere then we most likely know that it's due to the ship's movement messing with the landing or something.

Also, thx in advance =)

Melee Corneria, Kirby's Bair and Nair. Vids would be nice so we could compare them to the one I have. Do you really have the game?

Edit: I see what you did there Magus -.O
Sorry, meant to mention that if you find an incongruity between the two, you should test it on other stages as well, but I guess Magus has that covered anyways >_>

Landing with Nair and Bair pretty much have no lag. The stage has nothing to do with it.

And yes, I do have the game.

Like I said, Landing lag from aerials is determined on the type of aerial that is used. Another example, Kirby. His Bair and Nair almost have no landing lag, but Fair has a bit.

Good for us Kirby players I guess then:)

Also, can you tell me if Kirby's Dair auto cancels in its start up frames? I just re-watched the vid and I saw Kirby do a Dair from the fin, and he hit the ground kind of early. It seemed like he had the "ring" thats in Melee when he hit the ground, but it was another one of those "no lag" moments. Just asking.

Yea, it auto cancels if you hit the ground before he starts drilling. If you land while drilling, you'll see a large ring of clouds come out of the ground(with a bit of lag). If you land before that, small clouds will pop up(with no lag).

All of his aerials get pretty bad lag, but nothing ENTIRELY killer. I'd say it's manageable... somewhat haha

In that vid that someone posted of Ganon in Target Test, you see that he can auto cancel his Nair. Just throwing it out there.

@Demon-oni: Im almost certain that was an non-sweet spotted Knee. I hate to ask again, but can we have that tested?

Yea, the knee can still be sweet spotted and still gets electric.

Did nobody else notice that Kirby turned like... gold for a split second right before landing and doing the f-tilt out of the bair?

Yeah, Ganon did autocancel the one n-air in the target test, but he also had to start it right as he left the ground having the 2nd kick come out before he even reached the peak of his jump and then also not fastfall either. He also didn't autocancel it on the other one where he landed a little earlier in the attack than that one.

yeah, I noticed that, but I assumed it was just the "sparks" that come up from landing. Also, if you see t!Mmy, give him the good news about his new top tier abilities :)

Oh, and Noir, while your still here, I hate to ask, but I wanted to know, if you use Kirby's aerial hammer right after you start your jump, will it pull you forward enough to do a $lide?

I think there is lag canceling like the one in medal of honor heroes 2
it is nice u won`t feel dizzy because of lag but I felt disappointed when I was sniping someone from far and I thought I killed him but he didn't then i saw him going away because of lag
But I don't think it will be a problem in brawl because there is only 4 players and MOH heroes 2 has 32 players online :p

This video shows how fast kirby's backair is canceled out ALOT. In my opinion the fact that the developers gave some moves such little bits of lag leads me to believe they know what they are doing.

There's also a video of Ikki as Dedede doing a Nair while falling onto Ike and right after he uses Ftilt, but other than his nair and bair all of Dedede's aerials are pretty laggy.

For going on the offense on someone on the ground they want us to do fast aerials, and only want us to do the slower ones as surprise attacks or finishers. Of course that sounds pretty cliche' and "of course thats what they're doing" but the fact that they made it so the fundamentals of L-canceling are still there, then I have no problem at all.

Question for Noiro:

If you don't mind me asking, I'm sorry, but could you see for me which aerials for Peach and Bowser have little lag? Hopefully Peach's Dair and Bair, and Bowser's Fair.

I'd really appriciate it, thanks.

OH!! And important question. How fast is shuffling now. I've been scared to death looking at videos of people fastfalling so slowly. It makes me believe shieldgrabbing is going to be too good due to the fact that people will be in the air so long. Is it still good? How does it compare?

If you answer these questions you will have single handedly worries. Thank you so much again for taking your time out of playing to answer questions.
