Lack of Marths...

you do realize this guy knows nothing about mango
as in like not related, doesn't know him personally, aka is completely joking when he says "its coming"
now it may very well be coming (hoping mango doesn't come in a **** me), but just making sure you know stratford's a joke
and um romedogg: quit life.
i heard mang0's marth beat M2K in a ditto.

Im pretty sure Mango can beat anybody in a ditto at this point so thats not too surprising to hear lol.

i would have to say shiek is easier to pick up than marth. but marth has a certain rythm to his playstyle that attracted me.
but maybe the reason marth isnt used as much as foxes is because players might subconciously pick the higher tiered character. even tho they are both represented as 9.9, the list is rounded. or it can be that marth used to be lower and nobody felt like giving up their hard work.

IMO, Marth doesn't place as well in tournaments nowadays because marth's metagame and combos (while efficient) are WELL known by every competent player out there.
"Don't get grabbed"
"Don't go near the ledge"
"Don't be above Marth"
So for Marth players to get that grab, or start that combo takes a significantly higher degree of prediction and precision.
Given that spacies/sheik/falcon can combo to take a stock off marth from a variety of different starting hits or grabs, its crucial for marths to make sure they don't let the opponent get away after landing that grab/aerial.
And that need for precision and intelligence is why a lot of players choose the characters with more options to surprise their opponents via tech-skill.
Side note: I would love to see Mango pick up Marth.

mango does have a marth
its his worst high tier character though, and he claims that marth is his worst character.

marth has to be perfect in all of his matchups or he'll get *****
idk why hes tied with fox. fox takes alot less skill to be good with imo and fox doesnt have any bad matchups... while marth has stupid matchups like... Shiek... -_-.
