Naturally it would cost less since I'd be driving less, so there would be less gas being used.

I don't understand why people charge gas if they're not going through the trouble of going separate places to pick up more than 1 person.

GAS IS EXPENSIVE + distance traveled. It's not like with inui though where he would charge for extra for insurance.

Here's my logic.
For me, to get Nakat, bring him to the KTAR, take him home afterwards, and go home, its about $20 bucks gas and tolls. I feel bad for charging him that much so I say $10 and hope someone else from up there needs a ride so they can cover the rest. Now if 2 other people wanna come and they live close, I get $30, which would cover gas and tolls + the horrible inconvience of driving 3 hours out my way to get someone. Imo, its still not even worth it, which is why most people don't even bother to do stuff like that, but I do sometimes to be nice caues ya'll my peeps. Don't even get me started with traffic. Will turn it into 4 hours round trip.
Now if all the players meet up at a common spot, I'm probably gonna keep the same price because I'd rather receive mutiples of $10 and like I said earlier its not worth the drive in the first place so any extra convience is beautiful.
Some people do calculations with splitting gas and stuff but I keep it simple. Especially since the driver pretty much controls the rules and if the player doesn't like it they can just try to find another ride, which once again like I said, is better for the driver anyway at times.
My version is a little exagerated compared to most other people picking up players that aren't too out the way while I'm talking of a situation about stuff way out the way, but its still possible to see my point.

- I pay for my own gas
- You'd be paying your own gas if you were driving yourself
- I'm providing a service
- It takes extra time and gas to pick people up and drop them off, regardless of if it's one stop or not
To be honest, people who drive should be charging more, but they keep prices fair because they're nice and they want to help people out. I personally like giving people rides because I used to always need them, but that doesn't mean I don't at least want my expenses somewhat covered. I always calculate my gas costs beforehand and try to split it among the carpool, although if I'm only taking one person I'd never make them empty their wallets for me. For example, I took Roller, and Roller only, to CoT, and I only asked him to give me like 10 bucks for gas despite how long the trip was.

Nice summary. So if I were Delta regarding COT, even if another smasher agreed to meet up at Roller's to be dropped off and picked up there id still have Roller pay $10 and his friend pay $10 cause the original $10 wasn't enough to cover gas, tolls, inconvience anyway.

I never parallel park if thats what you're talking about. I'd rather park blocks away than parallel park. Its annoying as hell and when I do I always go up on the curb. It does help for parking but don't do it on your drivers test!

I didn't have to parallel park for my test. Not like I can't, but they just didn't have me do it. CT driver's license test, though.
