Essentially, 3 or 4 people pick their characters and stage like normal. When the match loads, however, instead of spawning 3 or 4 characters it spawns 2. They play their stock until someone gets KOd. Instead of them respawning, one of the other players spawns in their place. No idea how socring would work (time, set amount of KOs, stocks?) but I think this could replace sitting at setups for extended periods of times without playing.

Anyone interested in helping me out?

Can someone test this on console? This doesn't check for the spawn order (so only 3 player works perfectly) but I don't want to do the second half if I'm not sure that this works first.

Also everyone spawns at the beginning.

"so only 3 player works perfectly" It's not that bad, at 4 players they can either do 2v2 or Dual 1v1. If I had a Wii I'd test that because it sounds so cool

Cyjorg Cyjorg I'll check into the code to make 2 improvements: only 2 spawning and it cycles through all players (if 4 players).

Also, the camera stays on the dead players, but injecting at 800bfe54 instead of the start of the function go through the place where it desactivates the camera. I'll continue looking onto that.

I already have a code written that should work for 4 players. I just need to check it when I get home and I'll update it

Are you using the same injection adress as above: 800BFD9C ? If yes, use 800bfe54 instead. That function clears the camera focus before loading the respawn function (that is happening at 800bfe54), having the camera ignoring the dead player. If you blr at the beginning, you'll not go through the camera flush.

Finals are a whole lot more important.Good luck with them!I can certainly wait.This sounds perfect for locals, like say if you get there early and there's only a few people and barely any set ups.You can cycle around until the bracket starts or something like that probably.
