Just finished 7th at a 40 man.

My best performance to date, it was pretty epic. OS was there and got 3rd. The final was between Equi, an excellent wolf out of florida, and Tactical, a lucario that wins all the weeklies. Came down to the last stock of the last match of the last set, and tac walked away with 200 ducks.

I got to the semis, going through a couple of people that get to the final of the weekly fairly regularly. I even had 3 shoryukens in one match vs a D3. The last one finished the set with me behind 55% to 120. Expect vids up soon, ones I can be proud of =D.

spam fireballs and up tilt/throw combos

BAN FD and pick any stage with a good amount of platforms

both of these help

don't go for anything that leaves you too vulnerable (as in don't spam smashes)

use ore f-tilts/down tilts also, tap a combos not as good either

Wow Kentucky seems weird. Metaknight banned at tourneys. And multiple Luigi mains.......

Kentucky smash is great. It's important to note though that ky smash is entirely comprised of 2 cities. The football stadiums in louisville and lexington become the state's third largest city when filled.

As for the D3, its important to note that he's not a D3 main. He's a Kirby main, that CPs D3. Also he has a moral aversion to the infinite grab, so that did not play a role in the match. I raaaaaaaaped his kirby, so he had to switch it up. Took me to the third game, where I took 2 of his three stocks with my favorite move.

Yeah, I saw that! I instantly spent the next two hours watching vids he put on youtube.

But yeah KY smash is great, but I'm slowly learning that Luigi is an uphill battle vs so many high tiers... OS two stocked me with his Metaknight and ROB, and Tactical two stocked me with his lucario.

Hopefully it's just match-up inexperience. I'm sticking with Luigi and only Luigi, no matter what it takes!
