I will be there, but before I register, I need to know about the fees.

On the registration page all the games are listed as free. Is that right?

I first heard of this tournament outside this thread and got lead to here.

I found that registration page here. The page says, "Tournament fees will be collected for Smash games on-site" which confused me because the registration page lists all the games as free, and I know for a fact that the main events are free sign-up every year. Just trying to find a clear answer.

Oh cool. Thanks. And yeah I just got my ticket and printed it out so I'm sure it's free.

Awesome. I'll be pretty miffed if they try to charge at the venue then.

This is a normal tournament with typical fees and prize pots for the winners. As was mentioned on their site, "Tournament fees will be collected for Smash games on-site." Sorry about the confusion.

If you bring enough setups you can get all of your money back (not limited).

That should definitely be made more clear on the registration page, since they're all listed as free.

I see that this thread updated the information. I don't know who helps run the other sites, but I know very many people who did not see that one sentence at the bottom of one page.

Do the fees apply to games such as BB:CP? I wanted to enter that too, but probably not if I have to pay to register.

I'll have them update the Eventbrite.

Only the Smash games have registration fees and prize pots.

There's free entry (no cash prize) for all non-Smash games.

Oh okay, no problem. I don't mind paying so I'll still try to show up.

Thanks for the response. Updating the Eventbrite will be much appreciated, because I know a lot of people who were mislead by it. Not pointing fingers, but the clearer the better for these sorts of things and I just wanted to get a straight answer before going into it.

I will still be attending. I'll probably limit myself to just singles in Brawl and Melee now though.

I signed up for this and got an email earlier today. It says that players must sign in on Saturday in order to compete. Im only interested in playing PM singles so do I have to show up on Saturday? I have an interview at that time so I cannot make it that day but Sunday is fine.

You'll be fine, as long as you make it on time (early) on Sunday. See you there!

That part on the email must have been referring to the other events that start on Saturday but have top 8 on Sunday (none of the Smash events are set up that way).
