How to make Super Smash Bros. Brawl look like an XBox 360 game:

Take screenshot.

Adjust contrast levels.

Add color correction.

Add ridiculous amounts of bloom lighting.

YESZ.

Games are getting lighter and adding more brown in an attempt to add grittiness and realism, and I personally think it looks terrible. Developers need to think about adding style instead of trying to delve into what they percieve as "realism." Team Fortress 2 is a good example. Stylized, but good-looking.

This is how I think Brawl probably would have looked if it were on the 360 platform. (Admittedly, Meta Knight's wings look more realistic in the second shot.)

lmao!

Personally I like the 360 version 0.o
The excessive bloom lighting does mask the lack of anti-aliasing, and some of the contrast and color correction adjustments do make certain things look better, but I'll stick with Brawl as-is.

... you're my hero.

And don't forget, you have to put everyone into powered armor and replace all of the Subspace guys with aliens.

LOL this is awesome. Though the third picture before the finished transformation DOES look better imo.
The visor's color isn't quite right, but I agree. The contrast does make a positive difference.

And make it into an FPS, that's they key.

Just wondering, is this a spoof of the VGCats comic, "Guassian Blur"?
I realized how close the two subject matters were about halfway through making it, but this is just showing what the graphics would probably look like when brought from one next-generation console to another.

Besides, excessive bloom is a universal factor in most next-generation games, nowadays. (Mirror's Edge is a VERY good example.)

I think you mean Dead or Alive: Extreme Beach Volleyball 2, either that or Ninja Gaiden 2.
I don't remember there being an excessive quantity of breasts in Ninja Gaiden II, but I haven't played it in a while. First one is fair game, though.

I didn't actually read the post except for the soap part and made my own joke. Everyone will get my joke.

All new games are shiny,
I like shiny though, like twilight princess and Mario Galaxy,
but they need to focus less on shiny and more on details and stuff.
Make it less blury.

The only one that I don't like is the falcon one. But that MK looks pretty amazing >.>

You really think so? The only thing I noticed was the contrast bringing out more detail in his wings. Other than that, it seems to be for the worse. The bloom lighting makes his mask blend with the background.

Needs more Call of Duty 4.

But there was a old 2003 game called "Freelancer" on the P.C. Some one made a mod and it added bloom lighting plus some other graphical updates(ships blowing up in a dramatic way). I hate the bloom lighting on one hand and on the other Explosions are freaking awesome and beautiful.

Gameplay not required.

Graphics >>> Gameplay.
Are you really saying Xbox360 games are all about graphics?

Wii games are terrible. Xbox360 games are actually fun and challenging and aren't something you can blow through in a few hours, which is something Nintendo apparently doesn't like

I haven't played much Xbox games but it so much reminds me of the ones I have played. It gives off that affect like you're actually in it. It could use a bit touching up but I seriously wouldn't mind playing with those graphics.

♣ The Samus one is just right, the others don't look right to me since it's hard to see them. However to me, it looks better than the 360 graphics, maybe I'm biased. ♥

♣ Most 360 games fun and challenging for 4 hours then you have to move on to another game. Aren't all games like that? Well most of them are like that to me, maybe I play the PS3 too much to the point I don't touch my 360 enough. And Wii game's that doesn't have Nintendo characters are bad, not every Wii game, (ok except for Puyo Puyo 15th since I love playing that on the Wii but that's a Sega game). >.> ♥

No, that's not what I'm saying.

I'm talking about the general consensus amongst most gamers I've seen.

"Oh look at the graphics man, so sick man! **** man! F*** man! You can see her nipples twitch man! Oh mah days man! WOOOOOAH his hairs, you can see his individual hairs!"

An example of graphics masking perceptions of gameplay is previews of Assassin's Creed.

Yeah, that game was a pile of donkey ********.
