I agree its much riskier than Fsmash, I have been doing Dsmash instead of Fsmash after a trip though. Then again I just assumed Fsmash would be too slow to connect 100%. Well now I know :D

does this work with 2 jabs?
can't they shield between jab and dtilt?
dtilt trips everytime it hit?
an angled up fsmash will hit small character when they trip?

I've been doing this 'combo' for a while. It works pretty well until the opponent figures out they can roll away. But yeah, this OWNS everybody. In love KOing Falco at like 70% with this. It's too good.

Another cool combination you can do with it is...

Jab>Dtilt>Grab>Dthrow>Uair>Uair. You can grab them right where they trip without moving. You can also keep Dtilting like Zelda, just not as fast. It works though and makes up for the first not tripping.

I've gotta say, unless there's an easy way out of this, it could be the most useful thing a Luigi jab can do.

The whole combo works for jab's entire range, which is the problem with jab +shoryuken. I'm going to have to start doing this and see how it works.

It's actually pretty easy to get out of if you just keep tapping A after the trip or roll away after it. The thing is that it should completely catch the opponent off guard because no one would expect this out of Luigi. When I first started using it, it worked on EVERYONE. Now it hardly works on those people, you can't abuse this or it won't work at all. Try and use it when they'd least expect it.

At higher percents the Dtilt will bounce them off the ground, setting up for a Usmash, Nair, or even UpB.

Glad to see other people do this to. ^o^

I do that, just without the whole Jab>Dtilt. I just repeatedly do the Grab>DThrow>Uair>Uair, to get 'em off the stage, then gimp a little, and pray I can get back up. Yeah, I know I can recover with the Dspecial, but I always waste my second jump doing Bairs and stuff...

dtilt? So this combo works cos you've attacked them and tripped them so how will they be vulnerable for fmash when they're tripped? Wouldn't they roll away? Explain for me please. And what is the jab? Is it the standard A button?

All of Luigi's tiny a moves are broken, like d-tilt trips, and the "sourspot"" nair.
Which leads me to my other point, a good time for an f-smash is right after a spotdodge, like after the opponent attacks spotdodge and f-smash, it is very fast.
