So, story.
I'm keeping it short.

Friend comes over one day, and he has limited Brawl experience.
He uses Pit.

I main Samus for goodness sakes...
I only like... 2 stocked him with Samus.
It's ridiculous.
Samus had an extremely hard time doing anything.

Then, I decide to switch out to Marth.
I barely touch Marth.
Killled.

Then, I decide to switch out to Meta.
I barely touch Meta.
Owned.

Yeah... It's official.
Samus sucks.

Pit can be a difficult character to fight against, especially if you think that getting him close to you will be your advantage. There was someone here, a Samus main, who learned the hard way when we first brawled that it's not a good idea to get Pit close to you, because he is more of a close-combat character than he is a projectile. His grabs are quick, and so are his attacks.

I've had similar experiences before and I think I might have found part of the answer.

I'm not sure why yet, but a lot of people settle into predictable patterns when using Samus without being aware of it, more so than other characters. There something about Samus's moveset that drives people to spam certain moves over and over. Try playing against a new Samus player and you'll quickly see what I mean. Alternatively, try playing against an experienced Samus player who is ever so slightly drunk and I'm pretty sure the same thing would happen.

It's just so easy to settle into a predictable pattern with Samus it isn't even funny. I'm not saying this is the only way a Samus main can lose to a new player, but I'm pretty sure it plays a big part in it.

Try to record the match next time you get beaten by a new player and watch it again, you may be shocked at how predictable you are. However, if you know what the problem is it isn't too hard to fix.

Okay written sarcasm is hard to read sometimes, and I don't get it either. So to clear things up were you the one who got two stocked? Did you own him with marth and meta? Or did your marth and meta get killed by his pit?

I two stocked him.
And I destroyed him with Marth and Meta.

The only freaking threads that LIVE in the Samus forums are about how Samus sucks. Let this thread die, lock it, etc. Stop filling up the boards with this crap!

Oh and how does Samus suck if you 2 stocked him, then switched characters? Your friend probably sucks. =_=

Yes, my friend does suck.
I was merely emphasizing that the character I main, Samus, had a harder time killing Pit than any other character that I can play.

One would think skill would be a major factor, but nevertheless, Marth and Meta are just good at killing things.

That's why they're top tier and Samus isn't. If you want to use broken characters like MK and Marth to win, be my guest. You're a Samus main, so try to improve.
